To be fair, Shields does seem pretty loud, arrogant and annoying. People are entitled to think that.

She has acted professionally and respectfully to Marshall post fight though. And fully deserves that win, no doubt.

Savannah would do much better if she had a sharp and frequent jab to keep fighters like Claressa out of range. Then she could drop the right hand when there is an opening. Claressa is a better boxer overall but unfortunately a bad role model for women with all the arrogance etc. Women should look to Amanda Serrano, Katie Taylor & other nice women for role models.

Agree with you somewhat. Savannah looked tired working at the pace she set for those 2 min rounds, and Shields looked more comfortable playing defense and counter punching. 3 min rounds might have made it worse for her if she fought with that style

Agree with you. It was a close fight. On the night, I had it a draw. Savannah was not given credit for her body work and the short punches she unleashed as she was bobbing and weaving as they weren't as easy to see. I know her style so I was looking to see the work she was doing as well as Claressa. She also made the fight, was the aggressor and had better defense that she was given credit for. As for Claressa being a role model, don't discount the power of all she has overcome to reach where she has. People who grew up from where she came from usually don't make it in life. Her life demonstrates a way out for a lot of people. And that story is still being written. Don't judge a matter until the end

7-3 was correct, and if Shields had just a little more thump, she might have ended it early. You could hear the shots, and Marshall would pause long enough to get beat to the punch by combinations, but if those shots had a bit more ****, the beats might have gotten her out of there.
