I didn't get to carefully watch the fight because I was on the golf course during the fight. From what I saw live, I had Shields winning a clear but competitive decision. I just carefully rewatched the fight and the commentators unequivocally dropped the ball. That was an absolute masterpiece by Claressa Shields. I scored the fight 98-92 and didn't see one round that Marshall won decisively.

I haven't seen the fight but this is the only girl Shields has lost to. Marshall seemed like a real sturdy girl from the pictures I saw. Both these girls would whoop my ass.

Entertaining fight, Shields clearly won (which I suspected). The most notable difference was explosive speed in hands and body from Shields. Marshall was just slower in all facets although she's a tough girl with heavy hands. Didn't score it closely but it was probably 97-93. After the fight, Claressa said it was her hardest fight and I would agree. Wouldn't mind if they run it back.
