yeah, i watched this not caring whatsoever about either boxer or the bout itself.. I also have barely seen any footage of either before(not really a fan of women's boxing..) from what i was able to see, i saw shields mostly missing and otherwise being blocked(yes she still obviously landed shots) while catching jabs.. that was a lot of the first half, then the second was more clear to me as to who the rounds belonged to(i gave shields the 10th round still)...

all of that said maybe I didnt see the image as clear as it seemed and things actually went differently in the exchanges and shields clearly won the way the judges and commentary had it

True. You don’t see anyone calling Wilder and Joshua “great black hopes” after getting beat by 2 white guys. That would be racist, right? So in the name of equality, let’s not use this narrative for any race. Equality for all.

Huh? How many times can you name a victory for the American against a Brit with the undisputed title on the line? I'm talking unified here? I've got Taylor over Ramrez and Lewis over Holyfield. But what others were there?

I had the fight a draw. Marshall got far too close to Sheilds and needed to create space for her shots. But she still didn't lose. She didn't win either, but she should have done had she given herself enough space.

Where have you gone on the other thread after i listed wins over Mexicans at world level as well? You've gone quiet. Can't think of any wins? Wait until you see the win list we have over Americans. That's huge and lopsided.

I had it a draw. Claressa missed far too many punches or had them blocked. Sav put the pressure on all night. She just shouldn't have got that close to Claressa. She needed space for her shots. She let that go there.

The two women who won are bad role models for women--too hateful. I was rooting for the nice ones.

Well done to Shields, an undisputed champion in another wirght division.

She clearly won, just too skillful for Marshall. She got caught a few times and took it well, from such a power puncher as Savannah.

It was competitive but not that close a fight. Shields is the best women's boxer overall by some distance.

Lol, I told you that your Euro-boxer bias shows clearly. This fight was not close to a draw. Marshall put up a good effort, but Shields was the better boxer and landed clean shots and combinations.
