I think it will be Breazeale-like highlight KO for Wilder...
Anyone give Helenius a chance on Saturday?

He has a puncher's chance if Wilder is more susceptible to KOs now after the punishment of the Fury trilogy.Comment

I think wilders had enough time off that the fury fights won’t bother him….I actually kinda believe wilder said now the pressure is off ….also don’t think helenius has the tools to worry wilder muchAnyone picking Helenius?
Gonna play Devils advocate here… Wilder is now nearly 37, he took a beating in the last two Fury fights, they clearly affected his mental state too. Could the timing be right for an upset?
I can’t see it personally, but I do think Wilder may not be the same fighter he was prior to the Fury losses. Even a lesser version of Wilder should still have more than enough to KO Helenius though.
ill be curious to see if wilder has added anything to his game…or will it be the same ole wilder giving rounds away waiting for that moment to pounceComment

He'll be fine and will win rounds until Wilder lands. He's got nowhere near the movement to not get hit and he won't take Wilder's best.
Maybe, just maybe he can pressure Wilder into going backwards. But it's a big maybe. And I don't think he can do it for 12 roundsComment

Yes because Wilder is a quitter and Helenius can crack....but he's almost certainly paid off to take a dive.Comment

All things being equal Wilder wins in spectacular fashion, however both these guys are 38 years old, so that in itself makes things a little unpredictable. The aging process doesn't follow a set schedule. Also, Wilder is coming off 2 straight KO losses and Helenius hasn't looked this good in about 10 years, so there's that too.
That said, no way I'm putting any money on Helenius at anything less than 10-1
oops.. turns out Wilder doesn't turn 37 for another couple weeks.Last edited by 4truth; 10-10-2022, 04:55 PM.Comment

I doubt it, he’s a bit long in the tooth at this stage and I’m not sure he’s that willing to evolve his style. I don’t particularly rate either of his current coaches either, both yes men IMO.
I’ve always said I think Manny Steward would have been perfect for Deontay, I think he would have got him utilising his jab and actually setting up his shots rather than just winging the big right hand. Ironically enough, it was Sugar Hill Steward who trained Fury to beat him.Comment
