Agreed man. He reminds me a bit of Joyce at HW. Clearly has flaws but a lot more difficult to beat than he appears.

He is a contender but has to improve. He kept his lead foot in the inside, doesn't pick up his hands to defend himself and kept on getting hit with the same punches over and over. He did a better job when he was jabbing but was thinking a bit much instead of being reactive. He needs a couple of fights to improve. Well spoke lad though

Ocampo was KO’ed in 1 round by a welterweight and basically the last top 10 contender he fought. He goes to 154 and lasts the distance vs a top 5 contender? Looks like someone’s gunshy.

If he wants be legit, he needs to get over getting hurt/dropped by Lubin. It happens. Fighters get hurt. He needs to get over it if he’s gonna last.

He’s fun to watch for sure. Idk if he stands the test against Charlo with the way Fundora likes to trade on the inside. Doesn’t seem too hard to touch him either, even when he does decide to box.

24 never used to be that young. a lot of past greats, Ali, Tyson, Morales, Mayweather ect all were younger than that with their first title. Now days people are waiting until almost 30 to fight someone equal to their level. its nuts

I was going to post my thoughts but you already said what I wanted to say and said it much better than I would have (so I just liked your comment and will piggyback the sentiment).

Fundora really impressed me in the Lubin fight. Erickson has his flaws himself but he's a skilled fighter and he can hit hard. Fundora broke him down.

I liked the jab from Fundora against Ocampo but he needs to stick with it more consistently. Regardless Sebastian is tough as nails and incredibly classy. I'm a fan.

The Spence fight was 4 and a half years ago and as I recall, Ocampo looked like he was overwhelmed by the fact he was fighting a big fight against a big name on prime time television. Just because Spence got him out in one round doesn't mean Ocampo is gonna get sparked out everytime he steps up in competition.

Between his fight with Lubin and this fight, saying he is not elite is a fair assessment. 6’5” with an 80” reach, I expect him to be more like Paul Williams. I expect a guy that tall, long, to throw a ton of punches from long range at his much shorter opponent and eventually overwhelm them with a TKO. With his height/reach and where he fights (154), Fundora shouldn’t even be getting touched. And if he is touched, I expect his opponent to pay for it with 10 punches.

Unless 154 becomes really bad, I don’t see him going too far.
