Duuuhhh!! We already know this Ward. Watch the butt hurt Canelo fans come out in huge numbers to back their guy up. Hey. Its what fandom is all about. Like Canelo, but ive been saying this for years. But then again, its boxing. The deceptive matchmaking in the sport is real. Rarely does ANYONE nowadays fight ANYBODY that is dangerous BUT ALSO in their prime. Just look at the situation with Jose Ramirez now calling Regis Prograis name, when he couldve fought Regis 3-4 yrs ago, before Taylor even thought about Regis. Fury/Wilder 1-3 were great fights but we were all looking for Wilder v AJ. (Please dont talk bout who’s to blame, BOXING IS) Never got it. Boxing continues to shoot itself in the foot.

Nelo got a better resume than Ward. Nelo is fighting guys who are dangerous and very good fighters. Even if they havent got great resumes. I mean people saying Nelo should fight Benavidez and im sure once Nelo beats Benavidez theyll say it was nothing who has benevidez fought? I mean Bivol not beat anyone great and im sure theyll say Bivol was a nobody if Nelo beat Bivol.? Even thought BIvol is the best at 175

Name 1 fighter from the last 10 years who fought and beat better opposition than Canelo.

Yeah it's not like Callum wasn't calling for all the champions after the WBSS or anything but of course only Canelo does the "ducking"...

It's weird how people forget how annoyed Callum was when they sanctioned Benavidez against Gavril for the belt when he (Callum) was ranked No.1 and was fighting an opponent in the top 15 with the WBC yet got passed over for Benavidez and had been calling for the fight with Benavidez ever since the WBSS...

The thing is Canelo beat some prime name like Lara, GGG but by very very close decision...

Canelo has huge balls to fight a Guy like Bivol, Bivol is good and a giant next to him.

Would Ward fight a cruiserweight on Bivol's level? Maybe but he never did.
Ward didn’t have to have 50 Tijuana can drivers on his record to accomplish what he did in his career and wars often won fights he wasn’t expected to win. There’s no doubt that Ward would have schooled Canelo had they fought but given how Canelo has been carefully matched moving up, I don’t think Canelo would have ever fought him

The times Canelo has fought fighters still in their prime, in their weight class, that had time to train & there were no clauses, even winning he did not look as dominant & those fights were close, some he lost & others looked like the other fighter should have won(Trout, Cotto, Jacobs, Mayweather jr, Bivol, Lara & GGG)

Fighting “50 Tijuana can drivers” is part of turning professional at a young age in Mexico. Weekly/bi-weekly fights with locals. 95% of Mexicans do it. Kinda harsh to call out Canelo on something that’s more of a tradition down there.

do you genuinely think Canelo would’ve ducked Benavides if he was still WBC champ at 168? I highly doubt it. Canelo has never lacked the balls and confidence to fight. Would he have beaten benavidez? Who knows. Would the fight be made if Benavides was still champ? Absolutely.

Btw, let’s remember Benavides lost his titles TWICE for ****** shiet out of the ring. He gets some blame too.

Gayweather has ZERO prime names on his resume and Ward's b.itch ass would lick his a.sshole if given the chance.

Ward quit boxing to avoid Beterbiev and Bivol. So he's a b.itch.

Ward won the super 6. He beat Kessler & Froch in their primes. He beat Kovalev too. Canelo & Ward both great careers. Ward simply didn’t have the drawing power Canelo does so he had to take the best money fights available but his arrogance bit him in the a5s a few times like when he refused to fight Bute (who was a huge draw in Quebec at the time) after winning the Super Six. He felt Bute avoided the tourney to keep cashing in on lesser opposition in Canada. Instead Froch fought Bute & destroyed him to earn another title. He then went on to big money fights with Kessler & Groves in stadiums. Too bad Ward/Froch 2 never happened.
