    He’s not wrong.

He’s beaten some good fighters in their prime like Lara, Jacobs, Trout, Plant, Saunders and Smith.

But, the great or big name fighters he’s beat like Mosley, Cotto, GGG and Kovalev were all clearly past their primes.

        Ward's prime opponents:

        Kessler by headbutt TKO.
        Drained robot Froch.
Kovalev which is he arguably lost.
        Kovalev by ballz attack TKO.

Two fouls, one arguably loss and one legit win. Ward is GOAT lol.

            Wow
You say Canelo has experience defense & KO power?
Well Canelo had 3 chances to KO GGG
            Didn't happen
Benavidez might lose by decision but never by Canelo's KO

[QUOTE=Cypocryphy;n31594634]Ward is a good guy, RELATIVELY. Yeah, he's not racist, and he's very fair in certain situations, so long as he doesn't have an emotional connection to someone. So for example, Canelo, Golovkin or Shakur. When he gets emotional, he becomes one of the most biased MF out there.[quote]

              Yea?

You can't knock Canelo's resume over the past couple of years. He's fought four undefeated world champions in their prime and beaten three of them, decisively.

Typical Ward with his holier-than-thou attitude. Funny how he doesn't seem to maintain the same critical standard when discussing his own career.

Ward does have a point. Carlos Baldomir & Shane Mosley were alteady over the hill when they fought Canelo, especially Mosley, he was even the shadow of what he once was, Kermit Cintron was a shot fighter when he fought Canelo & Amir Khan & Josesito Lopez came up 2 categories to fight Canelo & JC Chavez jr had to come down in weight to fight Canelo & came in dehydrated & there was a clsuse on Kovalev's contract where he couldn't rehydrate to his usual weight on the day of the fight & trying to maintain a certain weight on the day of the fight affected him.
The times Canelo has fought fighters still in their prime, in their weight class, that had time to train & there were no clauses, even winning he did not look as dominant & those fights were close, some he lost & others looked like the other fighter should have won(Trout, Cotto, Jacobs, Mayweather jr, Bivol, Lara & GGG)

People forget the real boogy man at 168 was calumn smith not Benavidez. We all know Canelo demolished him. Once Canelo beats benavidez, the new boogy man will be Morrell and Canelo will “duck” him too lol.
Exactly right about Callum Smith. Canelo beat him so easily that most fans dismiss him entirely, forgetting that he was the consensus number 1 SMW when Canelo fought him, not Benavidez.
