You're reading this very wrong - Pac wasn't interviewed in this article at all.

      Pacquiao's last eight fights:

      - Ricky Hatton @ 140 lbs (Overrated - When he fought quality, got KO)
      - De la Hoya @145 lbs (Old weight Drained)
      - David Diaz @135 lbs (David who??? LOL)
      - Juan Marquez @130 lbs (Most boxing experts think he lost those fights)
      - Marco Antonio Barrera @130 lbs (Please !!!!)
      - Jorge Solis @130 lbs (Jorge who ???)
      - Erik Morales @129 lbs (Pacquiao got his ass kicked)
      - Oscar Larios @129 lbs (Oscar who ???)

The difference between Pac and Cotto is that Pac fight little boys and Cotto has fought with true solid recognized Welterweight and destroyed them. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!!!!!!!!!! DON' DON'T DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE !!!!
      Whats next????
      - Miguel Cotto @154 lbs (Damaged goods)

If you have seen an interview with Pac on the subject, please link to it. If not, stop pretending you have.

On the other hand, according to boxingscene, Mayweather has demanded a 60/40 split in his favour, and unless he stops pricing himself out of the fight, it won't happen.

        • I believe Cotto can beat Pacquiao. If he can't, then he's an even bigger disgrace than Mayweather because JMM and Pacquiao are neck and neck with each other. I don't care what anybody says. Cotto needs a convincing win over an elite fighter. And even though I ordered the Mayweather-JMM fight, I did it because of JMM. Mayweather was picking on a smaller guy and Cotto is doing the same here. Both of them should be held to the same standards. And whoever made that thread suggesting Cotto should cheat the weight will only add insult to the injury. That would be true especially if he gets beat.

So why have you been claiming in other posts in this thread that Pac said things that only Arum has said?

Sometimes you post very astute analyses. But then you spoil it with silly posts like this one.

              1) Styles make fights. Ali and Frazier were neck and neck, but Ali destroyed Foreman, who destroyed Frazier. Styles make fights. You should know that, you're an intelligent poster, so why do you pretend you don't?

              2) They were neck and neck at Featherweight and at Super Featherweight, but since then Pacquiao has become a natural Jnr Welterweight, whereas Marquez is still a natural Super Featherweight.

Marquez slowed down and lost some of his timing even when he moved up to Lightweight, and his opponents at Lightweight looked physically stronger than he did.

He slowed down even more and lost even more of his timing when he faced Floyd, and Floyd looked far stronger, physically, than he did. He also seemed to have lost a lot of his power at Welterweight.

By contrast, Pac lost none of his speed, nor any of his timing at Jnr Welterweight, and he looked physically stronger than Hatton, who was generally considered the physically strongest of all the Jnr Welterweights.

Every fighter has a maximum weight above which they can't gain any further weight without being disadvantaged. JMM's maximum peak weight is 130lb, whereas Pac's is 140lb.

              • Bob Arum has just let the cat out of the bag here. Manny Pacquiao has just realised that he can't beat Floyd and doesn't want to be humilliated on the eve of his political ascendency in the Phillipines. I'm now in doubt if we will ever see Mayweather/ Pacquiao

                • Arum is protecting his golden egg...

But not for long. Manny, Roach and Bob Arum know what's coming down the pike when they face mayweather. Styles do make fights yes but you must remember that Floyd "C O M P L E T E L Y" shut down marquez. Marquez was "Never" in the fight. It wasn't about size or speed. It was purely about skill. Mayweather didn't use his size to his advantage. He simply kept Marquez from doing what he wanted to do.
No one has a plan for Mayweather. They think a job will win them the fight. Mayweather times those. They think an attacking style will get him. Mayweather uses everything to his advantage. Patient, he'll clench, he jabs when he needs to, he fakes and is not stationary and he has a very good chin. Mayweather's been caught pretty good before. But he doesn't keep making the same mistakes.
Mosley wants to get in there to fight mayweather because he needs Mayweather. Mayweather doesn't need Mosley. Before the Marquez fight I thought Marquez/Mayweather was going to be a very good tactical bout. Pacquiao/Marquez was very, very close. And pacquiao doens't do anything Floyd can't stop or avoid, that's for sure.
For those who love their Pacquiao I have to now warn... the time for your hero is soon coming to an end. Floyd will make an example of him. You'll soon see. Arum can't hide him forever.
It's so interesting how things change when the truth comes to light.

Does Roach honestly think he has the harder puncher? Why, because Manny KOed Hatton? Mr. Magoo could hit Ricky Hatton. Because he beat up De La Hoya? Even Roach knows that Oscar was drained and had an IV in him right before the fight.

Cotto is not a weight drained guy or an overrated brawler. Pacquiao's best chance to win is to hit and move, in and out using hand and foot speed combined. If he tries to brawl with Cotto, Pacquiao will get hurt badly. If Margarito with loaded gloves could not knock out Cotto, what makes anyone think Pacquiao can?

Pacquiao may be the biggest money fight Mayweather can get, but Pacquiao's value will plummet after November 14th.
roach can honestly say that manny is a real big puncher simply because..........
roach can feel all of manny's punches during training.
nobody listened to freddie ever since he said that everybody is in for a big surprise when it comes to manny's power at the higher weight!!
and freddie himself was surprised at this development..

Only fighter that i will not pick PACQUIAO as to having a chance at all is if he fought PAUL WILLIAMS. Mayweather can be beat, 40 tried and 40 failed, its because they were head hunting too much, you can't target MAYWEATHER'S head when he is on defense, to hit him in the face is when MAYWEATHER gets offensive. With that said, in my opinion, stiff jab him continously on his shoulder with a mix of bodyshots, when he gets out of his defensive mode and tries to counter is when you try to counter with a power punch. Jabbing him on his left shoulder will negate his shoulder roll and weaken his left hook and possibly piss him off to get him out of his defensive mode and get offensive. When MAYWEATHER is on the offensive side is when he is vulnerable the most.
                      good observation there, brah.
im sure freddie won't mind to learn this strategy...
we'll pass this on to him when the time comes.
