Smith is a bum who got beat up by Ryder in his fight right before Canelo. Benavidez is a totally different breed, and Canelo and his team always knew it. That's they pounced on the euro bums once Benavidez was out of the picture and why he will NEVER fight him.

Just use your brains for a moment. Look how Canelo looked vs a 40 year old MW last month, he couldn't even beat him up, and was the weaker fighter in championship rounds, then consider a vicious 6'2 monster like David with a gas tank that never stops. Canelo does not want that smoke. He would get smashed badly and likely stopped by the ref.
