Tank isn't making what Canelo is making. The PPV numbers Tank pulls in must be enough to cover his purse, DAZN's numbers aren't covering Canelo's.

It should be concerning for Boxing that its two biggest stars: Canelo and Fury, are struggling to to get 600K PPV buys.

The Bivol fight was guaranteed to bomb because no one knew who Bivol was, but GGG was a household name who had fought Canelo twice.

That's a big time loss.

What this does prove is that there is only one true PPV king: Conor McGregor.

I think the DAZN factor alone probably cost it a good 100-200k buys. But even without that it wasnt going to be doing anywhere near what the first two fights did. Remember there was a drop off of 200k buys between the first and second fights already and they were only a year removed from each other.

Canelo has never been a HUGE draw anyway. Hes more comparable to ODH than Floyd. And his best days are likely behind him now.

600k is a great number for a channel like DAZN.

If DAZN are not breaking even on that then they are either overpaying, or just happy to make a loss for marketing purposes.

But 600k is pretty good in today's streaming world.
