After fighting for close to 20 year's (17 to be exact), his body is starting to wear down, and break down.
First it was surgery to his knee year's ago, now it's his wrist, the body can only take but so much wear, and tear.
Although Canelo is only 32 year's old, he's an old 32 those are the consequence's of the boxing game.
Don't forget that he's a multimillionaire he doesn't have to do this anymore, the more time you take off to heal, the less you want to return.
All of the questions lobed at him are already starting to get way under his skin, he doesn't want to hear it, he must feel like no matter what he does it's never enough.
I think that the only two times that I've seen Canelo cut, and bleeding after a fight has been against GGG, those 3 fights have taken something out of both of them

Canelo did look a lot stronger than in his first 2 encounters with GGG. I still don't think that would've been enough to suddenly KO a durable, albeit aging, GGG. My scorecards were 8-4 Canelo with GGG sweeping the last 4 rounds. GGG should have done more but I don't believe that had anything to do with his age. Canelo made GGG think twice bout what he wanted to do so that is kudos to Canelo's improvement. A very good trilogy that could have been great if GGG applied himself more in the 3rd fight (at least early on).

      I want to see GGG-Charlo or Canelo-Benavidez.
Benavidez vs Charlo would be good a good fight as well. So would a Benavidez vs. Bivol. GGG vs Charlo might be an interesting fight at either 160 or 168. There are fights to be made if these guys would quit waiting for a Canelo payday and simply fight each other.

The GGG from this last fight was beyond the sell by date....it was bad from the weird singer for the kazak national anthem....to the actual fight GGG had no offense for 8 rounds.....to the post fight awkward flexing his biceps and walking away with arms raised to the locker room.. This is the money GGG not the warrior and that's ok.

If GGG fights Andrade and Charlos, I'm tuning in. Anything else, probably not.

It's called geting old Canelo. This was your second consecutive bad outing and poor performance in a row. You are now showing signs of decline, age and slippage. Once you step up your level of opposition in a ring with a live or undefeated opponent again you will probably get stopped.

And what was the excuse 4 years ago when the same thing happened vs ggg? Or what about 4 months ago when the same happened against Bivol? The reality is canelo doesn’t like to be pushed. Which is why he was so successful against the passive Uk guys and plant. He dictated the pace. He can make all the excuses he wants but there isn’t one for gassing before a 40 yr old did.

Canelo is just better than ggg. He proved it with 2 dominant victories in a row. Canelo is younger, but he was always the teacher and ggg was always the student

Because they don’t understand oxygen deprivation in the muscles of the bulkier men. Yet they freak out from the volume of the thinner more lanky guys. There is definitely a sweet spot between boxing and bodybuilding!
