Comments Thread For: Canelo: I Really Wanted Bivol Rematch, But Hearn Said We Had Contract To Fight Golovkin

LAS VEGAS - Canelo Alvarez reiterated that he eventually wants to avenge his loss to Dmitry Bivol. According to Alvarez, he would've boxed Bivol again Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena if not for the contractual commitment he made before he battled Bivol on May 7 to square off against Gennadiy Golovkin for the third time. This sounds very ovarian from Canelo. Passing off responsibility.

Basically, Hearn had no faith in Bivol! Canelo thought he would win easily! Both were wrong!

That's just his buddy Hearn talking him out of another potential L. Honestly tho Canleo does not get enough credit for talking such a High risk low reward fight against Bivol . NO fighter nowadays does that

Expect Eddie Hearn to do everything in his power to block that rematch. Eddie realized he overestimated Canelo's overall ability the last time and he doesn't want to ever do that again to Alvarez.

It's because Bivol was supposed to have been a cherry-picked opponent for him just like Gennady Golovkin is supposed to; So he could steal Ginger back away from the PBC with these low risk and high reward easy fights he has been feeding him.

              ‘Ovarian’? As in feminine?

You could say passing off responsibility was a feminine trait… if you just ignored the entire social history of the world

                Hearn, like most promoters, DKSAB.

There were ppl on here, though only a small minority, that could have told him that the Bivol fight was an uphill task.

Ofc, you want to see fighters in tough contests. But my point is Hearn obviously didn’t see it as a tough contest pre-fight, because he DKS.

That’s why, at the press conference, he had a face like a ****phobic dad who’s son just came out.

Bivol was a HIGH risk, HIGH reward fight.

I thought Hearn worked for Canelo. I thought Canelo was the face of boxing, and made his own decisions.
