If you want to go with Bud getting knocked down by Mean machine, it looked like a flash knockdown. I thought Virgil was in bad shape vs Mean machine and was possibly close to getting stopped. I think you're not remembering the fight right.

Crawford took three clean hits, two to the side of the head, one in the chin while he was clinching and fell down after the third hit.
