WBA is allied with PBC and they're saving Eimantas for Ennis. And why does WBA have to be petitioned for this?

Who knows why he signed with Queensbury if he wanted to fight decent Welterweights.
No joke. Clearly the GB contract wasn't appealing and heavily biased in their favour. Similar tactic to the Charlo-Munguia proposal. Needed the WBC to formally declare the fight and then the usual negotiations and probable purse bid. So yep big fat ducky

The WBA is being watched very closely now by the Association of Boxing Commissions.

They better play by the rules instead of showing any favoritism or being "allied with PBC."

I was surprised Crowley couldn't take out a waaay over-the-hill Josesito in his last fight, assuming it happens, Stanionis should have more than enough (but I suppose Crowley could take due to bad scoring on the cards).

Because the WBA is a POS. This secondary title should not exist to begin with. They are supposed to be eliminating these secondary titles, not enforcing boxers to fight for them.

This is the only reason GBP petitioned for the fight. They don’t want Einantas vs Boots on the Spence Crawford card. Last thing Oscar wants is everyone praising pbc for a stacked card.

Give Spence a date for a mandatory to be made - say, end of October - maybe that will concentrate his mind to get the unification over the line. Same deal with Crawford, I'm all in for that fight but there's other good fights to be made - in fact I'd rather see Boots-Crawford as I reckon its a better style match-up and bring out supernova skill sets

If Ortiz is the #1 then he has EVERY RIGHT to do this. Period

We'll, let's hope he had better terms when he fought Liam Taylor and Oskari Metz, and then hopefully he gets even better terms against Jon Miguez when he defends his EBU title (yeah I haven't heard of any of these fighters either).

Ill cut Ortiz some slack because he already KOd a fighter who KOd Avanesyan (whose claim to fame is beating Josh Kelly). But yes, Ortiz Avenysian would be a fun fight, but so would a fight against Stanionis, who has a great win over Butaev.
