He went life and death with Pacquiao at his optimum weight and he has shown signs he was slipping since then, Katsidis was dominating Casa and Cruz got robbed against Casa, Casa was out boxing Marquez at times and Juan Diaz almost nailed him, we just saw how good Juan Diaz is against Malignaggi a guy Hatton dominated.


No one is making him out to be a bum its Mayweather fans thinking it was a great win, ive heard people claim Mayweather is a top 10 ATG after that win.

Marquez would give Pac hell at any weight. Tehm punches that Mayweather ducked, slipped and rolled where hitting Pac for 24 complete rounds.

Great win but it was not the same as as Pac over JMM, they were in their natural weightclasses. Had Floyd moved down to lightweight I don't think he would have looked as stellar.

Marquez weighed in at 142 to a 147 fight. He had to eat Tacos to build the weight up. Floyd gets credit for looking great, but we shouldn't even be comparing Marquez now to the one that fought Manny. Nor should we look at Manny the same because he wasn't as complete as he is now.

I said that same about Hatton when Pacquiao beat him, that he was past his best as to was DLH and Floyd fought the better versions of both but you have to even that up with what weight division Manny came from, how he beat Hatton and at the weight he beat Hatton at, his best weight.

Two fights at Lightweight Marquez had against a waay past prime Casamayor who jobbed Cruz for the decision then get dominated by the crude Michael Katsidis. Juan Diaz lost to Nate Campbell and apparently just got a lucky against Paulie Malignaggi, a guy Hatton dominated with ease right before the Pacquiao fight ironically enough.

His power clearly had little effect, the difference in speed was clear, struggled with Floyds size

Also Floyd was fighting a 36 year old Featherweight whom fought Pacuiao at his optimum weight or one his more optimum weights "super featherweight title " and Floyd came in like a full fledged Light middleweight.

The weight clearly effected his speed and you could tell he looked a bit past it because his reflexes were poor, dont give me this BS about Maywather was making his reflexes look poor, he would of been making them look poor to a degree but not that bad, he was **** slow in that fight.

I keep hearing people say he beat up a LW but Marquez is not a LW he was a Featherweight.

well from a neutral point of you i think thats complete bollocks. Mayweather clearly did a better job on marquez than pacquiao did. most people who are not from the phillipines think marquez beat pacquaio. just look at pacs face and mayweathers face after the fights and that tells you all you need to know!!! I didnt see any threads sayin marquez is shot before the fight. This was always going to be a monumental task for marquez. he holds titles at Lightweight, so how can you say hes not a lightweight! The weight did compromise marquez, no doubt about that, but to start sayin he is shot is bull****. This was just a bridge too far for him. Anybody that fights maywetaher is gonna struggle, and when your smaller, weigh less and have a shorter reach, well your just giving mayweather more advantages.

why is it you can't just say he won, why make excuses for the fight. did he not train for it, actually trained longer than he had to 2 months longer. why are you making excuses. just accept it.
