Come on now, don't exaggerate stuff... his last 2 fights were at LW, at least say... facing a guy who's last 2 fights were at LW... I know it still isn't the point regardless... but there is no need to make it out to be worst than it was.

The win wasn't career defining, or legacy enhancing, the weight didn't help... but nonetheless Floyd looked good, sharp and focused after having a 2 year layoff, he might have had a little rust, but I wouldn't say loads cause he looked pretty sharp in there, but maybe this fight will shake off that rust for his next fight.

People shouldn't tell the TS to shut up either, he aint disrespected Mayweather, just spoke the truth... the weight didn't help, JMM might not really be the same fighter and Pacquiao did fight a better version, plus the win isn't career defining or legacy enhancing... it was a good comeback fight which I really enjoyed to watch were Floyd looked sharp and looked like he barely had any rust (barely cause Floyd said he was probably a bit rusty), plus this fight has probably shook off that rust for his next fight.

Even Floyd said he doesn't consider this as one of his biggest wins.

It was a great win, how is it not? He made a HOF fighter look like an amatuer. If Pacquiao had shut out Marquez it would've been the next coming of christ.

But here is the point, he made a past prime Featherweight look like an amateur.

Isn't Floyd a past prime featherweight?

How about this, how about someone actually beats Floyd, then we can talk all the trash we want.

You act like JMM is some sort of old bum. He was the #2 P4P fighter in the world and Floyd treated him like an amatuer. JMM was landing around 10% of his shots, I mean come on.
                Weight is important.

                Manny has improved.

Marquez has got wear and tear and if Diaz had a chin, he would have owned that ass.

You trying to say you had Marquez winning VS Mayweather pre fight?

But, in your post you said "people are acting like Mayweather beat JMM better than Pacquiao did", well he did... but Pacquiao did fight the better version of JMM to be fair, like Floyd fighting the better version of DLH.

How do you know this, I hear they weren't weighed before the fight... so how do you know he weighed so much fight night?

I can understand people thinking he weighed more than usual cause he has had a layoff so he might have had a little additional weight, which might be shed and put him back to normal by his next fight... but I am unsure about you saying he looked like a MW.

He looked a little bigger than usual in some of the build up than he has done before previous fights and stuff but I wouldn't say that much bigger... maybe it was cause JMM was a bit smaller and was lighter at the weigh in anyway so most likely on fight night, maybe he just looked bigger than he was cause he was next to JMM.

Just a thought, I could be wrong, you could be wrong, we both could be wrong... guess whatever we hear could be just rumors.
when has Mayweather not allowed HBO to weigh him before a fight?
that to me was an indicator he was coming in big, then when I saw him in there with Marquez, he looked at least ten pounds heavier and a lot more fuller.
I dunno how it is Mayweather fans back every little thing he does and take his word as law though.. never in my life have I seen people follow someone who isn't relitively important so blindly.

Mayweather was so afraid of coming in weight drained that he didn't even bother to take the weight off. I could understand if he was fighting someone else but it's Marquez, a guy who was a featherweight a year ago. That to me is some weak ****.
If there was any respect I had for Floyd, I've completely lost it.

I'm just glad Mayweather couldn't KO Marquez and he lasted the full 12.
That's all I could ask for. Warriors take risks and fight the best, Marquez is a true warrior.
The same can't be said about the man in your avy.
I had a great time at the fight party though so I can't complain, even though the fight was boring. It wasn't my money that payed for it though lol

Marquez weighed in at 142 to a 147 fight. He had to eat Tacos to build the weight up. Floyd gets credit for looking great, but we shouldn't even be comparing Marquez now to the one that fought Manny. Nor should we look at Manny the same because he wasn't as complete as he is now.

It's like how Oscar was a zombie VS Manny. It's unfair to compare them as the same fighter, because Oscar VS May was a lot better but way outta prime still.

The only thing I can say is that I want them to fight even though I feel Cotto may beat Manny.
