Ortiz won more rounds than Ruiz. Ruiz looked good in like 4 rounds. Ortiz looked good in about 8 rounds. Ortiz could have easily been given the fight by 1 point.

Andy always has been and is talented. He beat a game fighter with skills a plenty tonight and did it with surgical precision. His weight is fine for him, it is not a hinderance and he showed poise controlling Ortiz very well, being defensively responsible and making his shots count. him and Wilder will be a great fight if it happens. I think Ruiz can win it... But Wilder will have his moments.

Ruiz is over 30 years old...He has like one more good run, He has to think for the long hall. Getting into a shoot out with a big hitting southpaw, what would that do for him? I love a Lyle versus Foreman fight as much as the next guy but Andy does not have to impress anyone... Look vulnerable so you get called out, he beat Ortiz to the punch all night and had two spectacular rounds... He has gotten by two excellent performances by Arreola and Tito... He is right where he should be.

Let Wilder think he can land big and take him out by using the same defensive safety tactics done with Ortiz. I really think that some fans expect too much from fighters. Its a marathon not a sprint and Ruiz can fight at the weight he comes in at. He can knock any other fighter down with his hand speed if he sets his shots up a little more.

Andy needs to get in better shape and start boxing more, his current style ages fast and if he's not in tip top shape, Wilder will KO him.

There’s no reason we shouldn’t see Fury vs Ruiz next since Usyk is taking a break and Fury is looking for someone for December. Ruiz just won the WBC eliminator so let’s get that fight on. If not, Ruiz vs Parker next, would be a good revenge fight, assuming Parker beats Joyce. But looks like Ruiz and Wilder are on a collision course if Wilder beats Helenius. AJ or Whyte should fight Ortiz.

Well done to Andy. He's just beaten Wilders best. Is Wilder even really a top 5 heavyweight? Can he beat Helenius? Not sure, but if he can it sets up an intriguing contest with Ruiz. And that may be a handful for Wilder. But let's see.

I think it was kind of bad performance from Andy. Lucky for him that Ortiz is so vulnerable these days. The second "knockdown" was BS also. If Ortiz was younger I would heavily favor him in this matchup. Even 43 years old, he was better boxer there, imo.

I think styles favor Wilder if they fight. Andy is just waiting after you overcommit and then counters with quick combos on the inside but Wilder's right hand is fast and comes from the distance. Interested in how it goes.

I agree with almost everything you said. But a big no-no that I saw in your comment was describing Wilder as a 2 handed power puncher. It is common knowledge that Wilder is a 1 handed fighter when it comes to power. He would have a very good jab if he took his technique more serious. But when it comes to his KOs they are quite possibly 100% based off of his right hand
