No,it was 6weeks notice. Not a full camp but when you're offered 10xs your highest purse and a shot at boxing biggest cash cow you jump on it right? Unfortunately he allowed himself to be used as a pawn by Haymon leaving Ruiz to reap the benefits instead.

Unbeaten Cuban Ortiz has been handed a one-year ban from WBA-sanctioned fights for failing a drug test.

"Ortiz's status and recognition as mandatory contender is revoked. Ortiz is removed from the WBA ratings and suspended from participation in any WBA sanctioned bouts for one year [until Sept. 22, 2018]," a WBA statement read.

        Try again…..
        Moron!
He failed the drug test after he already chose Wilder over the Joshua mandatory. Derp Derp.

BoxingScene.com has received confirmation that Cuban heavyweight Luis Ortiz has been suspended by the World Boxing Association - in connection to his failed drug test for a scheduled fight with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Ortiz was set to challenge Wilder on November 4th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

        Thanks for playing, moron.

Good fight, good scores. Ortiz won more rounds imo. But those KD’s ruined his chances.

It seems Ruiz gonna have to just hand his hat on become heavyweight champ one time. I don't see him getting it again.

Gotta love Ortiz’s attitude tonight. Much respect to his fight game as well. Nobody has just gone in there and steamrolled him- regardless of how much people laugh at his prehistoric age range.

Ortiz won 8 rounds and the second knockdown was on a push.
