It doesn’t read much like Garcia and Joshua will be working together beyond this fight, some of Garcia’s comments appear quite critical. Shame, as I thought Joshua looked better in this fight than he had done for some time.

if it was as simple as walking up letting his hands go and knocking usyk out he would have done it. usyk is a better fighter as he showed over 24 rounds i dont know what more there is to say, you can have the best tactics and gameplan in the world but if the other guy is better you wont win... also i thought he did alright overall the way some people talk it was some 12 rounds beatdown with joshua hitting the deck 5 times, hardly lost to some bum, usyks number 1 p4p on a lot of lists. maybe joshua should have done what all your fave american fighters like tank, charlo, andrade etc do and fight a load of stiffs his whole careerLast edited by Madison Boxing; 08-28-2022, 05:43 AM.P to the J likes this.

Actually, if AJ didn't try to close the show and carried on as he was he might've won a decision. People say Usyk had a good 10th, which he did, but AJ was gassed after the 9th and going for the KO, then lost the next 3. Think he was up on maybe all 3 cards at that point.
Could've (speculation) been closer if he conserved his energy and kept applying pressure which judges love.

Yes, and Robert shouldn't have been telling AJ that he was winning the first half of the fight.
Then again, maybe that's the way they believe that Joshua has to be spoken to during a fight. They know him better than we do.

If the third fight happens, Anthony Joshua is only going to fight a even better fight. I respect Usyk, I rate him as a fighter 'But guess what? If the third is made, I think plenty of people would be backing Joshua again to win.
Usyk did nothing different from the first fight, in my opinion he did not improve from the first fight. Usyk did not pick up where he left off, he did not do what Fury did vs Wilder II.
It was Joshua who fought a better fight and improved. He handled the pace better, was more composed under attack 'Ended the fight on his feet and not as fatigued'.
And out of the two fighters, it was Joshua who hurt Usyk the most repeatedly. To the body and up-top.
Usyk just edged the fight with better all round boxing skills, better Jab, better creativity, better variation and endurance.
If Joshua had a true solid heavyweight Jab, the entire dynamic of the fight changes. He can pace himself better, and pick and chose where he exerts violent attacks in a more precised calculated manner.
I have reviewed the fight, and re-watched the fight. My initially reaction was that, Joshua did probably drop more rounds 'But as a whole, holistically the fight was more closely contested'.
The fact of the matter is, Joshua was not beaten up. For all the mocking and gloating people throw his way, the man has hardly ever been beaten up inside the boxing ring. Which is strange, because he does lack some basic skills in my opinion 'Like a solid Jab, Inside fighting skills and the ability to tie up a opponent and wrestle'.
Tyson Fury has sat back and watched essentially both Derek Chisora and Anthony Joshua develop the blue print on how to beat Usyk.
Usyk does not like body punches, it has been a long time since I have seen a top elite level fighter 'React so vividly to being ****** to the body'. I don't even think Joshua hit him low, he hit him on the side of the hip 'That is not super low'. Joshua should of carried on ****ing away, I know Tyson Fury would etc.
Usyk in my opinion, needs to beat these guys in the Heavyweight division and get out 'Because they will figure him out'.
I actually think Anthony Joshua, is figuring Usyk out 'As well as figuring himself out'.
That can be the only conclusion to the action, Joshua is figuring Usyk out.
Usyk for all his skills, has no inside game, and does not have the power to change a fight in a instant. Both Haye & Holyfield had those abilities in varying degree's.
Uysk is not going to beat Fury, with the tactics he showed vs Joshua. I think inside game, is going to be a extremely influential variable as to who wins the fights between Fury vs Usyk.
I have always stated that? The upper limits of Usyk's abilities are unknown, vs Fury he may have to reveal more etc.Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 08-28-2022, 06:41 AM.

Listen to Fernandez and went to Oxnard when he should have gone to Kronk. There's a reason why Vlad Lennox and Fury went there.
You have a Mexican co-trainer who isn't that good. And guess what? he pushes you to 2 Mexican trainers with ZERO top-level heavyweight experience as in Garcia and Reynoso.
Like AJ but he isn't too smart at times.Last edited by hhh1200; 08-28-2022, 06:42 AM.

Why on earth would there be a 3rd fight?
“If the third fight happens, Anthony Joshua is only going to fight a even better fight. I respect Usyk, I rate him as a fighter 'But guess what? If the third is made, I think plenty of people would be backing Joshua again to win.”
Which people would back AJ to win after getting beat twice by the same guy?
Joshua got beat. Again. What’s with the “what if” scenarios? Why would you want to watch a 3rd fight? Seriously, why is it so important for you that Joshua gets a 3rd go?
