    Because he sucks.

Wilder clips Fury with a perfect left hook here at 1:30

Wilder needs to learn basic combo's. Left hook - right hand - left hook (optional: bob right weave left at the end) =---> right hand - left hook - right hand (optional: bob left - weave right at the end). Those two combo's right there will boost him game big time.

Always slated Wilder, but fr, that was a superb combo

I don't know how that's a perfect left hook. Throwing it that way, his fist bounces backward on contact and most of it's power was lost.

          Edit:
The Son of God throws 2 left hooks, quick hook thumb up fist bounce, turns it over and drives through his target.

            Totally agree

I've got plenty of amateur fights under my belt. Domestic champs, world champs, amateur stars in my old gym. My best punch is the left hook. I was taught both by my first trainer and thumbs down is an amateur punch to teach a young fighter snap.

Watch the Jones video I posted.
Jones is throwing multiple hooks which would place the emphasis on speed, no?
No disrespect to you or your trainer, just recounting my own personal experience.

Wilder is sloppy and has been for years. Scott has had him for one fight. I think it's a little early to judge Scott as a trainer just yet.

I'm not entirely sure about that to be honest, could be something to it. For me, unless I'm turning it over at the end it feels incomplete somehow.
                Again, maybe that's just me.

Why bother.. stiffen up his jab make it like a piston so he can set up his money punch more often without being exposed to 6 or 7 rounds of punishment and getting out of jail always

Too late in the game for all this plus the HW division is weak he probably knocks everyone out except Fury anyway stop making him overthink with all this bs

lol, anything to assist Wilder's 1 trick punch can help. Everyone and their mother knows Wilder only has that 1 big right hand bomb. If he can develop something else to accompany it and perhaps get people off only focusing on the straight right, it can definitely add a layer to his weak game.

It's so funny how people make fun of Wilder but he's gotten so far with his half ass style. He's literally KO'd almost everyone and made millions in the process. Not bad for a one trick pony. Can't hate the player here.

                      Too little, too late.

He would probably be better off working the jab to setup his right hand like other guy said above. Can't fault him for trying to improve one of his weakest fundamental punches but it does not seem like they are going about it properly at all.
