    It's been a year.
Helenius is coming off a career win.
This is about as good as a comeback fight could be.
    Now going forward,
I fully expect at least Ruiz-level fights every time out.
They can't sell anything less in pay-per-view.

Helenius is okay for a tune up, no arguments there. If Fury makes another comeback Deontay crawls back into retirement.

        I would agree with you.
The interesting thing is, I think Wilder beats Usyk, AJ, Ruiz, Joyce and all the other guys by KO but he still gets beat by Fury no matter how many times they fight.
This is the literally the three angle trifecta of boxing. Ken Norton and Frazier gave Ali hell & arguably won all three fights yet they both got dismantled by Foreman, whom Ali beat.
Fury is Wilder’s Ali. That’s the strange thing about boxing.

I hope he gets to win a title again for that one last moment of glory because he paid his dues to get that one last moment of glory and I'll celebrate and yell out if he wins thats for damn sure. I just wish some boxing fans would stop seeing color through their glasses and appreciate him and see the warrior's heart inside of him too. Contrarily, I would love to see someone humble Fury in the ring; not sure who can do that.
That was very well said! Good post! I salute you! You are a true boxing fan!

Wilder has suffered considerable damage in his last two fights against Fury. Future opponents will test him to use his name as a stepping stone. We'll have to see just how much damage he sustained and how much more he can endure or avoid.

Why did he announce retirement in the first place, and took some convincing to make him come back? Two loses and he thought he's had enough. It's good old PBC mentality.

Good that he's back. This is a comeback fight and that's all it is. He should deal with Helenius.

From then there's really no reason to fight if it's not against big names.

History tells us we rarely get the fights when guys are prime. We've been pretty lucky with Wilder/Fury and Joshua/Usyk. But we're now at the point where these guys will fight.

It's a shame when they happen late career, but they'll still be massive events.

                      "I'm a renaissance man"
"I'm coming back to show the world my greatness"
"I inspire and motivate the whole world"

Yep, still as delusional as ever.

The sad thing is, he really believes this madness. Again he shows just how detached from reality he is. It's pathological.
