I know it's easy to hate Broner and he's ended up on my "least favorite boxers" list more than a few times, but it's important to understand that mentally ill people are the most frustrating people in the world to understand and deal with.

He exhibits all the hallmarks of somebody who is deeply troubled, so even though he does and says things that I often disagree with, I will cut him some slack and hope he gets his life together.

It’s just time for AB to let it go at this point. It’s also clear that something is in fact wrong- when has he ever pulled out of a fight?

Moreover, the mental health thing is starting to run it’s course with a lot of these guys. If your mental health is declining or taking a hit, then work it out with yourself and your people and come back stronger. If it’s unresolved and spiraling, it’s best not to let the world know.

And just to think, Broner was trolling Eddie Hearn into paying him $10M to face Benn- this is why. Broner knows his time is limited but who’s to say he wouldn’t have laid an egg had he got his hands on that $10M? Glad he didn’t get it.
