In the videos you posted, Benn admits to implementing the rehydration clause in the first video and Eubank said he could lose the 3 in both videos.
Thanks for the videos and I do prefer video and by hook or by crook =---> scribes misquote 99.5% of the time.
~1:18
For the record, Eubank weighed 157 in 2014 which puts him at 26, not 18 like he said in the presser.
Didn't see the rehydration bit, point me to the time.
Anyway, it's basically Eubanks own problem if he struggles with the weight. He suggested it.
The rehydration thing, I would've asked for one too if was me, Eubank is the one who accepted it. It's not like this was a fight that had to happen, nobody would've batted an eyelid if it didn't, they are so far apart in weight.
He's obviously extremely confident of making it and think little Benn is easy work. Even mentioned the height in the face to face.

I did, it was ~1:18 of the first video.
You're right, he agreed and that's what it is. My point here though is, Paul got tons of flack for the rehydration and it was much much more than Eubank is being given.

The difference is that Rahman needed Paul, Paul didn't need Rahman. It looks like if Paul said jump, Rahman jumps (I don't know how true that is).
The same can't be said of this fight. It was an agreement by two boxers who need not need to fight each other. No A Side, just an agreement that they are both happy with.

Also 1min 18 he's not talking about a rehydration clause, he's just saying that Chris has to make 157.

Arguably goes both ways now doesn't it? All the other names were rejected by the commission so essentially Paul needed Rahman and that's fortified by the fact theree was no replacement ready.

You suggested the weights to us and we agreed, we just simply applied that you make the weight.
With all due respect, British people speak often in riddles so maybe I read a little more into that than necessary. At the end of the day, do you really think Eubank offered up such a strict rehydration clause?

I don't have an opinion on the Jake Paul thing. But we know in Boxing when there's an A Side there are often forced demands. Seems likely that was the case.
This fight however, doesn't have an A Side, which is why the negotiations are irrelevant. They are obviously both happy.
Eubank wasn't forced or coerced into signing, he wanted to.

I agree with a bunch of that, but for where Eubank is in his career, one could make an argument he was forced into it. I don't think Eubank is happy about the hydration clause. Just my opinion.
