Ha ha Course you ain't got the boot man, I got zero problem with you at all, consider you a friend in fact... difference of opinion and style which we've worked out and moved on from I hope. There's never been any obligations on anyone and I sure as hell don't hold having your own views against you or anyone else. If there's some confusion it's because I thought one of your comments indicated you might be leaving the game entirely but it seems like I misinterpreted - and of course I want you to stay - you're one of the OGs around here and would be missed... I would miss you.
Thank you Siablo. I’ll still be around if Koba doesn’t give me the boot! Lol. I was just getting frustrated with all these mid year ideas and wanted changes. You’ve been here too. I just can’t fathom why these ideas wouldn’t be shared closer to the end of the year. Also people thinking that if you pick a correct fighter but wrong detail, that you shouldn’t get the points, really rubbed me wrong! You should get the bulk of your points on the winning fighter. It’s just so damn redundant. Years of this crap man. You’re not blind, dead or dumb, you know where I’m coming from
As for discussion I don't see any harm in it - that's all it is at this point, just thoughts to be mulled over. If there are to be any changes they'll only come after canvassing the entire player base and will be incremental and relatively minor if we decide on any at all, just as they have been in previous years. I wanted to start the discussion early precisely because scrambling around trying to get a consensus in December when everyone (including me) is distracted with Xmas and family and stuff usually ends up with only a half hearted player response and me having to reach out to people in the New Year - usually still recovering from the yuletide excess - trying to pull opinions together. It's just talking man... I like to encourage ideas because you never know when you might turn up a gem and whilst there's plenty to be said for tradition and consistency sometimes new eyes can see things and come up with new solutions that old hands like us might have overlooked.
And of course it ain't just new ideas I'm looking for - if there's more people like your good self who feel we've had too much change and want things to stay just as they are I need to hear from them too, cos without those opinions I can't get an accurate feel for the overall mood Shit if I had the time and it wouldn't make me look like a complete nerd I'd probably interview each player seperately with a clipboard and questionaire to ask about their 'game experience' for the year!
Either way, like you say, I know I can't please everyone or achieve perfection (or even anything close) but that ain't a reason to stop shooting for it in life or in this game I reckon.
