Nobody knows what's happening. Fighters are available. They're in the same stable. Yet nothing gets made. There's Crowley if this fight is having issues.

Any update on this fight? Even in house fights are difficult to make.

It's looking like Ennis is becoming a one fight a year fighter. Not a blimp on the sport's radar screen.

Stanionis is actually not slow, maybe even faster than Boots.

And for the record - Stanionis himself told on the different Lithuanian podcasts that his team tried to get a fight with Boots TWICE, but they did not received any feedback from Boots team. Stanionis wanted fight Boots before he fought Deloch and after the Deloch fight.

Now, when Stanionis have the regular belt Boots screaming " dont duck me", so its kind of funny to me.
Stan is in better possition rn, cause his team made better job picking fights for him, that why he have regular belt and shot at Spence.

If I was him I will try to fight Spence first, if no Spence than Thurman and then Vergil. Stan and Boots would be bigger fight when they both have belts.

For now I think best fight for Boots would be Butaev so we can see how he looks vs strong strong welterweight.
So you wanna see boots vs butaev to prove himself, instead of the guy who beat butaev?...only on boxingscene

Boots and Stanionis are both mandatory to errol. So the risk/reward is the same for both.

I just want Boots to fight someone more at his level this. He’s really spent way too much time on guys that are beneath him. He has the same number of fights under his belt as Spence but he hasn’t made a shot for any of the titles. If he stays content like this for too long, he might lose the chance to really carve out a legacy.

Errol Spence began having elite fights barely before becoming 28 years old, though to be fair he sticked at Welterweight his whole career until now.

The worst part is that Ennis is currently under the best promotion to get fights at welterweight, so they aren't necessarily difficult fights to make. Imagine if he just jumped onto fighting prime battle-hardened veterans like Crawford or Spence without the proper experience.

But the fact that he’s this far in and he hasn’t even fought someone on Stanionis’ level is a problem. That’s moving too slow

Well yeah, they do not even rank at the top 10 at welterweight.

Even in a experimental standpoint he is untested, all of these fighters don't even demonstrate very different styles compared to each other.

Lipinets is the most well-rounded and defeated Lamont Peterson who defeated David Avanesyan.

however, Peterson was underperforming at their fight since he was just coming from a getting demolished by Errol Spence from a few months. He became feather fisted even though he was throwing large volume of punches.

Right after he announced his retirement.

Also don't get swept up with recency bias on when he dominated Omar Figueroa who was way pass it by getting brutalized by Ugas and Abel Ramos, he wouldn't even be able to defeat the top fighters at light welterweight.

He also right after announced his retirement.

Yes, I would like to see Boots vs Butaev, cause:

                    1. Stanionis with 14 fights earned his mandatory and Ennis with 29 fights has not. Idk if its a managing problem or what, but the truth is that Stanionis with 14 fights have a belt and mandatory to Spence and Boots with 29 fights have nothing apart no. 1 IBF spot. IMO Boots team had to do better job in the past picking fights for him, cause having 29 and not belt or mandatory for such a talented guy is a shame...

                    2. Stanionis fought better opposition. Butaev is much more better opponent than anyone Boots ever fought, so why should Stanionis take another 50/50 fight vs Boots and risk his regular belt and mandatory spot when he can push for Spence fight or at least get step aside money, have 1 or 2 decent fights and still get fight for a title ? Makes no sense for him.

Dont get me wrong - Boots its excellent fighter, probably better than Stanionis (we dont know until they fought ), but Stanionis is in better position with 14 fights than Boots with 29. You can call it what you want but it is what it is. My point is that Boots still have something to prove, while Stanionis already did that in Butaev fight. So Butaev would be very good test for Boots to see if he is as good as everybody think he is, cause right now I think Boots is overrated (not his skills but fans are making him superstar while he did not fought any decent fighter yet).

Anyway, I hope we can get Boots, Stanionis, Vergil, Benn, Ellis and all other young dogs fight each other, cause this is what boxing is all about. Spence-Crawford scenario is a bull****.

How did Stanionis prove his self against a fighter that's unproven? Butaev has fought and beaten no one. But he somehow makes Stanionis legit?

                      Your logic is crazy.
