Benn-Eubank is fascinating due to the weight disparity. Will it be CW at 154? Id go with Benn but Eubank aint no punk either.
    You're liking Benn here?

My thoughts exactly, Jr got hit plenty and didn't look buzzed. Jr well have height and reach advantage, plus he's always in the gym. I don't think it'll be difficult for him to drop the weight compared to others who balloon between fights, he walks around at 160 so I don't think 4 pounds will be too difficult. No doubt it'll have an effect, but I don't think it'll be enough for Benn to do any damage. Ben has been hurt by much smaller guys and has stamina problems, it's a huge risk, and I'm not sure what the reward is to be honest...

“In sparring Groves hit me with the hardest punch I’ve ever been hit with. I'd even been suffering headaches after a brutal sparring session with Groves five days before."
A lot of things contribute to things like this, such as sparring sessions 5 days before - and getting brutally beaten in a fight v a very heavy handed boxer.

Let's not forget Nick can't even remember the fight anymore.

          • This is not a smart fight by Connor Benn. His career may never be the same after this bout. I can't believe he let a long history of the Hatfields VS McCoys get in the way of his judgement.

            • Revolving world of UK boxing at the moment is fascinating. Sky needed to sign fighters and have the cash to overpay. Liam Smith goes to them as does Billiam-Smith and they approach Okolie. Matchroom hit back with signing the biggest UK fight apart from Fury-AJ. Brilliant stuff!

He has the European title, which would be benn's first legitimate belt. Conor's never fought for a belt other than trinkets

Let's not forget the apple size lump bulging out of his forehead. It wasn't groves that caused that

Yeah I get that, and I like British fighters to go the traditional route, winning British and European titles before progressing on to a world title. But for me he's past that now, so he doesn't need the European title. That said I would like to see Benn fight Avanesyan. I've said this plenty, that I feel he's overrated and Benn beats him. But he doesn't want to fight him, which is his prerogative, and as I've also said plenty, the WW division doesn't revolve around Avanesyan. There lots of fights out there, so he's not ducking, or scared, that's just nonsense. He simply just doesn't want that fight. And this Eubank fight imo, is a bigger fight. A bigger name for sure, with the added danger of moving up in weight to take on a bigger guy. I'm not sure it's a wise move, but Benn is showing he has balls, and if it pays off he'll deserve some credit, although he'll probably not get it. This is a more exciting fight for Conor Benn, than David Avanesyan, and wether people like it or not, it should be respected and accepted.

                    • Hearn needs big UK shows, is he about to ruin another welterweight? Benn isn't a "big for the class" like Ennis and Ortiz, is more like a buffy Shawn Porter going up. Joke! Eubank should be fighting Andrade.
