I'm a fan of his also, but I didn't like the crap he said during the interview. Like it was best that the fight was stopped because he was going to knock him out anyway. What a hypocrite! If he would have been stopped in the same manner, he would have lost his mind and called the referee incompetent.

I don’t see corruption, not ready to put on my tin foil hat with the conspiracy theories. But absolutely it’s incompetence, that referee should never get a big fight again. That was a good fight and Russell was getting quite the lesson before it ended. And it also robbed Russell from what may have been a top shelf stoppage

but its ok if unfairly stops someone and messes up their career as long as it's a "small" fight??


that referee should never judge another fight again period, big or small, unless he can acknowledge his mistake and explain hiumself.

Lets be honest here Barthelemu didnt show any desire to continue while in front of the ref. The ref read that in his eyes and did him a favor and waved off the contest. Everything after that was Barthelemy saving face. I bet he dont even want a rematch.

OK but, that's exactly what NSB always says when it's a fighter they like. He's just echoing what people keep saying on forums and social media.

When Kenny got triggered and stopped his son despite his son not being hurt and the ref willing to let it go, NSB said "Porter would have been stopped anyway".

When Boots tossed a rabbit punch that caused a premature stoppage, NSB said "he'd have been stopped anyway".

The shot Russell landed was picture perfect. Rances has never eaten a shot like that or even close to. Something was wrong with him.
