Whats with the double standard, he is willing to fight a Mario Barrios whose not that highly known at 140 but not Garcia? It doesn't bother me if the fight happens at 135 but that just seems like a excuse to avoid making the fight happen.

It don’t matter how old you are in terms of being weaker as a boxer when your lighter. Making weight is easily achievable by a young man yes, but being as strong? Not sure about that. Floyd historically makes smart moves but this one is obvious. “You give us something more than we’re giving you”.
i think if Garcia gets under his skin eventually, Davis will fight him at any weight.

In 2017 he failed to make weight by coming in 2 pounds over the limit

In 2019 he had to get on the scales a second time to make weight…that’s a weight problem he is draining his body unhealthily.

In 2019 he had to make 3 attempts to make weight in his title defense against Liam Walsh…..that’s a weight problem he is draining his body unhealthily.

He has been seen wearing Sauna suits in camp doing exercises to lose weight; meaning he is using camp to lose weight in a completely unhealthy way.

Ive provided you four KNOWN examples of his continual weight issues. That doesn’t include what MAY occur behind the scenes behind closed doors and in camps to constantly shed weight. Trust me, there is enough of a pattern here that tells me Garcia is spot on

So what is Mayweather’s point in wanting the fight at 135?

Tell me the reason why it matters to Mayweather for the fight to be at 135. Why is it a stipulation?

This is not:
1. Mayweather asking for Olympic style drug testing
2. Tank coming up from 130lbs, needing to be accommodated at a weight he’s never fought before

Their should be literally zero restrictions on this fight other than the obvious different network/promoters needing to hash out the business end of things.

But weight? That should not be used as a stipulation. Mayweather is my favorite fighter, the best fighter from
2003 to 2017. But as a promoter? He hasn’t grown on me yet. He’s clearly on protect mode with Tank. From the day Lomachenko called out Tank, to Ryan Garcia calling out Tank. Protect mode, level 10 out 10.

Why didn’t he say that 6 months ago? Or 3 months ago? Or even a month ago? Why now?

Weight should not be an issue to fight about and Garcia has been begging for that fight so he needs to quit with demands.

This fight will not have a catchweight, ZERO. That's not negotiable, not even one pound. Belts mean shit but I'm still OK with the divisions as they are for now.
