I'll help you reread what I wrote again.

I think Garcia has a very good chance of stopping Tank. Ryan has to continue to work on his defense. Right now, his offense is his defense, but he's looking better and better. It's about a 50/50 fight for me with Tank. Tank is very crafty and although he doesn't hit as hard as Garcia, he hits hard enough to stop you in your tracks. I'd love to see the fight.

What amazes me, however, is the amount of people here who are in denial about Garcia.
Ryan is on his way to being in the boxing hall of fame. I have no doubt. And it seems to drive people crazy in this forum.

He might torture us with his yapping of the mouth. But he’s going to do what he’s always done. Scream Tank Tank then fight some other stooge.

Tank Davis is the Deontay Wilder of the lightweights. Pad his KO record with bum after bum. Throw very few punches per round in a snoozefest until the inevitable bum KO. I would give Ryan a good shot since he's much less a bum than Tank's usual opponents.

Amir Khan level career is what I see.m. Not hate but at the higher weightclasses he’s going to have a very hard time without the head movement, feints, and footwork. I hope I’m wrong. He’s 23 and all the top 140lbs are at top rank. So he will skate against GBs 140lb stable.

I'm not going to overreact to Garcia stopping an out of shape and shopworn Fortuna.

That being said, Garcia is much bigger than Tank and at 140 it may be a rough ask for Gervonta. Garcia is getting better and filling into his body. He still gets hit and Tank hits hard.

Yeah, I think so too. No hate at all on my side either, I just enjoy boxing. But man, Ryan's pencil neck gives me this feeling that he'll get his block knocked off badly one day. Those head shapes and neck sizes don't bode well in this sport, especially if you don't move your head/keep you head in the line at all times

I’ll never understand the hate for Tank. He’s a highly skilled fighter and athlete. His personality is quiet and damn near timid. His amateur record is 200+ with only 15 losses. He made it out of one of the worst cities on this side of the earth. And you compare him to Wilder?

Do you know boxing? Do you know how to recognize boxing skill and ability? I agree he hasn’t fought the competition we want him to but I doubt that’s because of him.

Loma, Haney, Shakur, Teo, and Ryan have all said on record that Tank would be their biggest challenge. Those are the top boxers on the planet. If Tank wasn’t meeting the eye test. None of those guys would say that. Especially Loma who is respected and isn’t interested in hype or games…just fighting the top guys.

Just stop the hate and analyze the fight based on objective measures…for God sake.

Tank is 5'3 with a 55" inch reach Ryan would blast him out from range.

He’s one of the most talented new fighters in the pro ranks without a doubt. And he will make for very dramatic fights if he fights the top competitors. He is also 23 so if he remains focuses, he can be a force to reckon with. I see him beating a lot of guys just not the top 5 at 135,140, or 147.

If Ryan Garcia fights like he did today he fare better than Mario Barrios, he at least wouldn't get knocked out.
