I agree it was much better watching both of them individually knocking Americans spark out. Their styles didn't mesh but that's what happens when 2 highly skilled heavyweights fight.
Fury ran for cover while he was ahead
AJ is about to get his pounded in
Usyk is a poor mans Holy.
This div is so bad, 12L is still considered a threat to a title !!!!!
At the end of the day Fury completely outboxed a champion who had barely lost a round in 12 years, legendary stuff.
"Completely outboxed" lol, it was one of the most low activity title fights ever. Usyk landed more punches on Joshua than Fury and Wlad landed combined in that fight.
I'm not saying it wasnt still a good win even though it was boring, but again, Wlad was 39 years old, retired on a loss not long after that fight, and Fury never gave him the rematch he was obligated to give. He also had a size advantage over Wlad. Whereas Usyk was the smaller man and beat a physically (though arguably not mentally) prime Joshua, and actually engaged him and hurt him.
Hang on a minute, Fury's win over the 12yr unbeaten champion Wladimir in his own backyard isn't arguably better than Usyk's win over Joshua, it's miles better.
Usyk isn't even that good, i can't wait for Fury to squash him like a bug.
I agree actually, but not everyone will.
I also can't wait for either to squash either. Will be fun and what boxing should be. Hopefully neither retires without proving they are the best
Sorry, the shell of AJ who is still suffering from PTSD from being smashed all over the ring and made to QUIT vs Andy Ruiz Jr 2 fights ago is not a better win than Wlad or Wilder at the time of those wins who had A) not lost for 10 years and B) never lost. It just isn't so stop.
I agree, I don't think it was a better win than Wlad, some people will disagree as AJ knocked out a similar version (but I agree that AJ was different to the one who faced Usyk, both in good and bad ways).
I do however think it was much better than Wilder, who imo is painfully awful and hasn't ever had a good win, but some people will disagree. That's all good.
What's important is that the question marks are all erased by Fury facing the winner.
If he retires, he will forever be doubted... Especially those looking at boxrec years in the future for the champions he beat.
Would be good if the winner of this fight then goes on to face the Joyce's of the world, but one step at a time!
AJ is a better technical boxer than Wilder but that counts for very little when he's a mental wreck.
Wilder after being stopped by Fury went back in there and attacked, he got dropped again and got up and attacked and dropped fury twice, he broke his hand and continued to attack, got dropped again, got up and attacked.
AJ took one shot off Usyk in the first round and fought scared the whole night.
Wilder would never do that.
AJ needs to get his head straight or retire. In his current form he's just embarrasing himself.
I'd personally like to see none of them retire and fight each other. You prefer mythical wins. Each to their own.

Yes he was completely outboxed, hence Fury winning a decision in Germany.
Fury did what he had to do, he completely nullified Wlad's offense by taking away his jab. Wlad couldn't adjust and that's why it's classed as a "boring" fight.
What did people expect Tyson to do, stop outboxing him and start slugging it out with a man who has brutal KO power?
