Agreed, I only watch boxing, occasional kickboxing, and horse racing on a Saturday because I'm old at heart. I want to DAZN to do well so badly. Them losing Usyk v Joshua is just another dissapointment. I wouldn't be surprised if they lose the Wood v Santa Cruz purse bid whenever that happens.
DAZN should fire Eddie Hearn.

Eddie's big mouth is one of the reasons why DAZN made him their lead promoter, or director of boxing, whatever his job title is.Comment

Yeah the should have got AJ vs Usyk. I’m not sure exactly why they haven’t tbh. Was it mistake on their part?

Didn’t realise their BBC deal didn’t happen.

Hearn is a great matchmaker for us fans, but no so great for superstars.
He will probably ruin Canelo with 2 losses to Bivol and Joshua with 2 losses to Usyk.Comment

There's nothing unnecessary about a sports service signing up sportsmen. Who is a safer bet? I can only really think of Chisora who you know exactly what he'll do.
It’s an unnecessary gamble. If/when AJ loses again how does that effect his value?
AJ will have already seen a lot of that money too. It’s probably a 3-4 fight deal at most and based on previous DAZN contracts it’s likely guaranteed money.
Great business from AJ. He’s getting paid by DAZN, Sky and the Saudi’s. Terrible business from Hearn/DAZN.
If Joshua fights 3 or 4 times on DAZN then I'm sure he'll generate some subscriptions. I'd be surprised if Joshua earned $100M for fighting nobodies but, let's be honest, when did he last fight a nobody anyway?
There aren't many fighters who can generate what AJ can. Even if he loses to Usyk again. And if he wins he's very much the cash cow.Comment

Usyk was a mandatory. That's not matchmaking, that's the fighter deciding whether to fight his mandatory or relinquish the belt.Comment

You do realise one of the main reasons DAZN have lost money in boxing is because they’ve been crazily overpaying fighters without seeing a return on that investment. This is yet another example.

If AJ loses again, what’s his next fight worth compared to the Usyk rematch. On top of that, will he even fight again? DAZN have put themselves in an unnecessarily vulnerable position once more.Last edited by RJJ-94-02=GOAT; 07-08-2022, 08:23 AM.Comment

Awful in the UK, I've commented many times on this forum saying that. They can't compete with Sky.
I think he's done alright abroad though tbf. He started with a tiny brand and now Matchroom are a big global boxing brand, as big as any of the others. None of the promotional companies work with each other.
I just watch boxing. I don't have hate built into me like you. I don't dream of failure for others like you.
It's not healthy dude. You're obsession must make you lose sleep.
Let's see if you can be honest. Why do you hate him so much? Did he actually sleep with your mum?Last edited by M312; 07-08-2022, 12:24 PM.Comment
