Yes. It's just that the heavyweight division is largely full of basic fighters that don't want to fight each other and then don't engage when they do fight.

It's a bad division and we're kidding ourselves if we're hyping guys like Whyte, Parker, Joyce, Sanchez, DuBois, Anderson, etc as actual contenders. It's embarrassing enough Parker got a gift belt against Ruiz.

Even 2000s titlists like Maskaev, Rahman, Byrd, Ibragimov, Briggs, and Peter were giving us better fights. I'd almost rather watch John Ruiz than another fight where Joseph Parker gasses out by the third round.

Joseph Parker does not gas out by the third round and neither was his belt against Ruiz a gift.

        What's embarrassing, is your opinion!

Really? What makes Sanchez so technically superb?

Parker literally lost to Whyte because he was gassed, he gassed and couldn't even get the horrible Junior Fa out of there, he and Chisora both gassed early in both of their fights. Not being able to finish off that version of Chisora was absolutely pathetic. Parker has no heart, no stamina, no will to win.

And he absolutely got a hometown decision against Ruiz.

Parker lost to Whyte as he was suffering through the middle rounds from an intentional headbutt that counted as a knockdown. Without that Whyte was never going to last the distance and only won because of it.

There is another level when 2 proud Pasifikan boys square off in the ring. Fa's pride would never have let him get sparked by Parker and vice versa.

Chisora was finished already. Parker saved face to let him see out the rounds.

Ruiz didn't do enough to win that fight. Parker did.

I think this intangible looms larger than people think against a guy like Sanchez who has tremendous talent, but never truly appears committed to putting an asterik next to a performance.

Sanchez always looks to me like a guy who wants to preserve a basic level of acceptance, and even an excuse if he needs it, more than a guy ready to "die in the ring" (tongue in cheek). What does Sanchez do if he gets really tired and Joyce keeps coming? that is my question. Will Frank even try to pull it out? I am not convinced he will... I would almost at this point give Joyce an advantage in this one.
I really like this comment. Don't really have much to add to it otherwise.

I think Sanchez is a very good fighter. He is athletic enough, has a nice jab, decent movement and good speed. He defensively responsible and puts his attributes together well but he also sleep walks through stretches of fights. He seems content to fight at a certain pace.

Joyce looks slow in hand/foot movement, has holes in his defense and sometimes a bit basic. However, he's also big and durable, has deceptively heavy hands and constantly comes forward. He brings mental and physical pressure.

Either Sanchez's skills are enough to win easily or they aren't and he folds to the pressure and gets bludgeoned. I really don't know which happens but I think I favor the Juggernaut.

I will also add that Frank isn't wrong about Joyce being slower than Ajagba. A couple big differences is punch resistance and aggression. Efe's chin was dented by Kiladze and he stopped being aggressive sometime around then (either before against Demirezen or after getting dropped by the Georgian fighter).

Ajagba hits hard but he doesn't bring the physicality and aggression that Joyce does. Completely different problem to solve.

Sure, against unranked opponents (minus Bryan). If he gets caught flush the way he was against a top 5 HW he is going night night. Now if he learns from this that is a different story.
