Well yea if you fought only 2 top fighters in several years and you like a certain fighter ,sure i would claim the same thing if I was trying to convince someone they don’t matter but this is a boxing forum everyone here knows that’s nonsense .

Unfortunately without resumes anyone can claim to be the greatest of all time with no proof it’s as valid as someone making a weird number system up to put a certain fighter ahead of another one .

      This thread is indefensible.
      Rankings exist for a reason.
To separate the trash from the goods.
Madison claimed Nelo's resume isn't all that.
He contradicted this thread with that comment
      All resumes are ''equally unimportant''

      Anyway,
I asked him to name a boxer with a better resume than Nelo....I'm still waiting

Canelo`s resume is pure fantasy. he never beat GGG, to begin with.

Madison is still fumbling around for an answer

Why don't YOU name a boxer who has a better resume.

Give name/s and details or don't bother.

We know Fury won't be a name you'd have to worry about typing

The dumbest thread ever that isn't in the lounge

          Cong**** is in order

Well of course, it matters what you do on fight night.

But resumes do matter when you are ranking a fighter historically.

But on actual fight night? It only matters what you do on fight night etc.

            I think this is obvious.

The thread was created because of Furys lack of certain criteria it’s disguised as an other topic altogether .

Canelo resume is great though I think GGG won a fight out of those he’s got a solid one with tough fighters .I think he defeats GGG legit next one though .

It’s like the poster who made the numbers rankings to purposely put Wilder ahead of everyone it’s about as valid as that the scary thing is some posters won’t even call these guys out on it they go along with it .

I've seen some bad takes on this forum, but this has to be the worst one.

The whole reason Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard are rated so high is because their resumes are so good.

                  Dumbest boxing related thread ever.
Even by dumb boxing threads standards.

When a guy moves ups, that right there is a guy trying to find better opposition.
When a guy is feasting off of journeymen, how can they not win ?

So, casuals felt like Canelo would beat Bivol because they knew GGG, Floyd, Lara, Cotto much better than Barrera, Pascal, Joe Smith jr.

Unfortunately Bivol has always been too big to fight Mayweather and Cotto and to beat their asses like he beat Canelo.

"Resume" is not very important. How much did his "resume" help Joshua against Usyk?
Yea, that’s why they have weight classes. They do mean something. Great men can cross them. Most men can’t.
