Unless you're going to name names of which organization Prograis should be top two in and why, then it's not fair to criticize the organizations for not having him in the top two. He's barely been fighting, he's not the champion of anything, why would he be in the top two?
He should be top 2 in the WBA for starters. They just held a Bull****, unprecedented, job interview for their vacant title, and came up with 1 v 6. We all know it should be 1 v 2. But why 6? Why not 4? Because 6 is where the next PBC guy was ranked, giving us an all PBC fight, and guaranteeing they get that belt. Prograis was the only one in that top 6 who previously held a world title. And it was the damn WBA's belt he held. He is easily the top fighter there. I can also make cases for him being higher up other rankings. But that will do for now.

Sorry, I just woke up then read this. Yeah that guy is ridiculous. I've had it out with him before on things. He doesn't get it lol.

Even if that's true, it just makes Prograis's complaint even more ridiculous.

The NABO is a north american title, not a world title.

Ring is a magazine, not a world title.

It is 1 vs 2. Puello is #1 in the WBA and Akhmedov is #2 in the WBA.

It is now. That's just been adjusted since they chose 1 v 6. Akhmedov was no 6 at the time of the process and the subsequent order. It should have been Puello Vs Barroso. You talk about these lesser trinkets you value so much. Are you forgetting that Barroso is the WBA gold champion? That's why he was in the number 2 slot. But he's been brushed aside by the corrupt WBA to allow an all PBC sham. Prograis, as their former champion, has better credentials than all these guys. I don't sympathize with him, because he made some bad career choices, post WBSS. But he's the superior fighter, and being former champion ought to count for something.

My sentiments exactly,it would be an amazing scrap between two of the best rated fighters in the 140 pound division, and would make it a point to watch this fight.
My question is why didn't Regis Prograis respond to Subriel Matias' calling him out, and I'm even more curious as to why he didn't take, or ask for the fight to be made.
There aren't to many legitimate reason's for a fighter not to take a fight, especially a fight that would certainly propel you into a title fight, if you were to win the fight spoken about.
At the time I thought that Subriel calling out Regis was a bit premature for him, but obviously Regis didn't think it was, because he didn't respond to it in one way or another.
Since Subriel called out Regis around two years ago, things have changed a bit in favor for Subriel he has won to more fights by knockout, and avenged his only loss in brutal fashion.
Subriel has surged ahead of Regis in the hunt for the title, and is scheduled to fight Jeremias ponce in an eliminator with no date or location announced as of this posting.
Subriel and Jeremias have a combined record of 48-1, with 38 (KO's) between them it's safe to say someone's getting knocked out in this one, I've got Subriel by KO.
By the way this eliminator might just be upgraded to a fight for the vacant title, due to the fact that Josh Taylor the undisputed champion at 140 has vacated one of his belts, and was stripped of another.

Matias made BS claims about a contract not being signed, when there was no contract. Regis called him out on it, and if there was a proper approach from Matias people, Regis would have been interested. Regis is one of of that rare breed that will fight anyone. Matias is one of those who likes to do social media call outs and thinks that's a contract offer. Right out of the Luis Ortiz playbook. It's a shame, as it would be a barnburner. But, that Matias tried to make that fight, is purely fictional.

I was responding to Regis complaining about title's being vacant, and him not being chosen to fight for any of those title's.
I've stated my opinion, and you've stated yours, there are factual points in both of our stated opinion's.
I was pointing out out that Subriel is fighting for a title in the near future, Regis isn't because his approach was off as well.
Don't get me wrong about Regis he's a damn good fighter, and he proved that in his only loss to Taylor, who in winning looked like the loser due to the facial damage caused by Regis' fist.
I hope that if Subriel does beat Jeremias, that his next fight is against no other than Regis, and that's going to be a bloody battle between two of the best fighters in the 140 pound division.
That said I've got Subriel winning that fight by a brutal knockout after a barn burner of a fight as you so aptly put it in your reply to my post.
By the way virtually everyone makes statements on social media professional boxers are no different, they are only human and succumb to the same things that are current.
What Subriel said was that SHO Time had offered Regis the fight, and he didn't take it, then he further stated send me the contract I'll sign it, and even go to your backyard to fight you.

I just want to see this fight happen, and for Regis Prograis to stop saying that nobody is mentioning his name, or wants to fight him because he's lying to the boxing fan's.

BoxingIsGreat, I did some research due to someone's reply to one of my posts, and Regis Prograis did respond to Subriel's call out, but he didn't push for the fight to be made.
