But it is if you're not a big name. If Reigis was with Top Rank, I guarantee you that he would be fighting Teofimo, Taylor, Ramirez, or Zepeda this year. Even if was with the PBC, they'd be lining him up with a name. Especially if he decided to move to 147.

All I was saying is, Regis needs to make more noise. I agree he doesn't have the name muscle to pick his fights, still he should keep himself relevant, not just a peep here and there. It's in the WBO rules that the champion from the lower weight class can vacate his title and be named mandatory at the next weight. That's how Crawford became eligible.

I dont know where your going here... As much as I respect the way promoters have been part of certain venues, boxing right now stinks with respect to the top promoters, they are not interested in making fights happen that people want to see. I do respect that you may have an angle on that aspect as a promoter... But hard to see why Prograis should have to appease Arum, hearn, whomever when he is obviously one of the more talented guys at the weight.

Jose Zepeda is the WBC Silver world champion and therefore the #1 contender for the WBC world championship.

#2 contender Jose Carlos Ramirez is the former WBC world champion, having lost the title to Taylor by razor thin decision.

They are absolutely deserving of being the top two WBC contenders and therefore the rightful challengers for the vacant WBC world championship since Taylor is unwilling to defend against his mandatory challenger.

Regis Prograis is rated #3 despite never having held the WBC world championship and not having bothered to pursue the silver or international title in pursuit of a top two rating.

I can provide you dozens and dozens of examples over the last five years of what you mention being a rarity and what I described as being the norm for vacant title matchups. This spans all divisions.

Prograis signed with an inexperienced promoter that didn't know what it was doing.

Unless you're going to name names of which organization Prograis should be top two in and why, then it's not fair to criticize the organizations for not having him in the top two. He's barely been fighting, he's not the champion of anything, why would he be in the top two?

I understand your POV concerning organizations. I don't think organizations should have the moxy to determine objective championship calibre fights... Its a flaw in the system to me... They hijack something that should be based on merit. I wish fighters ignored organizations and went with the Paul Brothers to give us fights fans want to see... You see these groups with a legitimacy I do not.

I would not argue anything other than the following: Let me see the most talented fighters available... Let me see them fight against each other. If Promoters can get those fights made, fine... if not? throw em to the wolves! lol.

I've been working on the bold for a while now. A long fight! The knowledgeable fans are coming around tho. Personally, I would piss on all the 100 trinkets between these 4 crooked orgs. I revised the bold, as you notice, just to remove the Paul guys. That was the only thing I disagreed with.

Yeah I mean to be fair to WBC Guy, he is a promoter lol... But I think all these trinkets and organizations are putting the cart before the horse. I think the Paul Brothers have a model that offers an alternative. Any alternative works for me.
