Bad promotional choices. That’s why. He should be a lot better known than he is.

It's really not about the promoters all the time. If you accept you are a tier two, it's hard to get fights. My boy Regis seems to have suddenly woken up. He had a potential to be a solid B boxer in the end. Now time is running out.

What has Regis Prograis done since his controversial loss to Josh Taylor?
He's fought 3 fights in 3 years against nondescript fighters whom he Ko'd, but didn't get him any closer to a title fight.
Now if he had fought twice as much during that time frame, even if it had been to similar type of fighters he probably would've gotten a shot at a title.
Subriel Matias called him out last year, and he didn't say peep, if he would've taken that fight, and beaten Matias he would've gotten a shot at the title.
He didn't do any of those things, and now he's complaining that he's not fighting for one of those vacated belts, he has no one to blame but himself for that.

Prograis bought out of his contract with DiBella because he thought he was too big of a star for little old DBE.

He then completely burned his bridges with PBC by publicly badmouthing Al Haymon for not handing him a big fight. They won't be calling him back.

Prograis is another guy like Andrade - stalled his own career with dumb decision after dumb decision.

Hearns welfare checks have pretty much dried up. I don't know who Regis could even work with to get himself back into contention.

That would be an amazing fight.

One of the best posts I've read in a while. Thank you.

One thing tho: I don't care about Haymon's grudges.
Floyd should work on this fight next. Let's do it!

I'm high on Lou. He's a huge boxing fan. Was the right promoter for Regis. I don't know what happened there. Screw Haymon for wronging DiBella. Doesn't sit well with me, never will. Make Lou the main promoter and spokesman for PBC, along with MP. Not sure if Lou wants it.

Lou DiBella was HBO President, lest people forget. He'd be running PBC smoothly with lots of fighters to work with, more revenue. He has a vision. That's what boxing needs, Lou with Haymon's fighters.

Lol ****** thing to say. If you know anything about Regis, then you'll know that he's never been promoted by either Arum or Hearn, and their totally irrelevant here. Unless of course, your just looking for an opportunity, to fuel an agenda you appear to have. I'm guessing you are a guy that watches showtime, and PBC cards, who as you pointed out, don't let their fighters choose. Your comments actually show what a narrow view you have in thinking that all other promoters show the same flaws as the one in which your immersed in. Be an ostrich if you choose. But be aware. There's a bigger world out there. Regis aligned with PBC directly after the WBSS and it hindered him, and that's why he unaligned himself. I guess he valued the freedom to choose.

Why, genius? Because you aren't with the right peeps, you got Dibella who bit the hand that fed him with Haymon as a promoter, and that russian fruitcake for a manager, pretty easy to figure out.....
