So Taylor vacates and the number 1 and 2 guys are fighting for the belt. I don't see a problem with this. As for the WBA belt, Regis is ranked 6th so its highly unlikely he'll get first crack at that. If you look at Regis's fights since the Taylor fight in 2019, he's fought 3 times with one of those times outside the 140 division. Simply put Regis has been too inactive to be marketable or make himself a mandatory, so I don't know what Regis is whingeing about.
"Prograis is currently ranked No. 3 by the WBC, No. 5 by the IBF and No. 6 by both the WBO and WBA. "
Prograis is probably in line for a shot against the winner of the fight for the now vacant WBC title.

He's fought 3 fights in 3 years against nondescript fighters whom he Ko'd, but didn't get him any closer to a title fight.
Now if he had fought twice as much during that time frame, even if it had been to similar type of fighters he probably would've gotten a shot at a title.
Subriel Matias called him out last year, and he didn't say peep, if he would've taken that fight, and beaten Matias he would've gotten a shot at the title.
He didn't do any of those things, and now he's complaining that he's not fighting for one of those vacated belts, he has no one to blame but himself for that.BoxingIsGreat likes this.

Prograis is another guy like Andrade - stalled his own career with dumb decision after dumb decision.
Hearns welfare checks have pretty much dried up. I don't know who Regis could even work with to get himself back into contention.greeneye99 likes this.

You rightly pointed out his brief alignment with Haymon. Then you went off course. He's now with Probellum. He isn't and hasn't been with Hearn. Don't let Hearn consume your thoughts. It's a bad look.
