Prograis is more deserving than half the guys fighting for those belts. He needs to be more active even if it's KOing random dudes. That seems to make sanctioning bodies happy.

My guess is he beats Ramirez but not sure how he does with Zepeda (whom I find more dynamic). I just wanna see those fights or even Regis against Catterall.
He's more deserving than the 2 fighting for the WBA title, for sure. But the WBC has the other 2 of the top 3 after Taylor, fighting for their title. That makes that a solid match up.

So Taylor vacates and the number 1 and 2 guys are fighting for the belt. I don't see a problem with this. As for the WBA belt, Regis is ranked 6th so its highly unlikely he'll get first crack at that. If you look at Regis's fights since the Taylor fight in 2019, he's fought 3 times with one of those times outside the 140 division. Simply put Regis has been too inactive to be marketable or make himself a mandatory, so I don't know what Regis is whingeing about.
      Yes, there's the answer:
"Prograis is currently ranked No. 3 by the WBC, No. 5 by the IBF and No. 6 by both the WBO and WBA. "

Prograis is probably in line for a shot against the winner of the fight for the now vacant WBC title.

He's not been promoted by DiBella since after the Taylor fight. Your a little out of date here .

Your correct to a point. But Regis, who I'm a fan of btw, chose to be a promotional free agent, after the WBSS. That was a mistake, as he doesn't have the fanbase to back that up, despite being popular with the hardcore's. The problem for Regis is, that whilst most like him, he's not really anybody's favourite. A good promoter will get him the best fights. But that'll mostly be of an in-house nature. Nothing wrong with that. As long as he goes with someone that has plenty of good fights to offer. GBP and Matchroom wouldn't be the best. Nothing to do with their network, it's just that they don't have depth in their pool. Top Rank and PBC would be the best options. They have enough good fights to keep him busy for the next 3 or 4 years. He signed with Probellum though. Not sure if that's really the right move here. The best they can offer right now is Catterall and Ritson. PBC may well be the best option, given that he'll want to go to 147 soon, and they are the powerbase in that division. He was aligned with them briefly, but as he didn't want a long term contract, they didn't have him up their priority list. He has since realised he needs a promoter. I just don't think Probellum will be the answer. I hope it gets better for him. He's a fantastic fighter, and a great character.

He's fought 3 fights in 3 years against nondescript fighters whom he Ko'd, but didn't get him any closer to a title fight.
Now if he had fought twice as much during that time frame, even if it had been to similar type of fighters he probably would've gotten a shot at a title.
Subriel Matias called him out last year, and he didn't say peep, if he would've taken that fight, and beaten Matias he would've gotten a shot at the title.
He didn't do any of those things, and now he's complaining that he's not fighting for one of those vacated belts, he has no one to blame but himself for that.
I agree with what you say at the start of your post, until you brought up Matias. Matias took to Twitter to call Regis out. Regis did peep up. Matias made BS claims about a contract not being signed, when there was no contract. Regis called him out on it, and if there was a proper approach from Matias people, Regis would have been interested. Regis is one of of that rare breed that will fight anyone. Matias is one of those who likes to do social media call outs and thinks that's a contract offer. Right out of the Luis Ortiz playbook. It's a shame, as it would be a barnburner. But, that Matias tried to make that fight, is purely fictional.

Prograis is another guy like Andrade - stalled his own career with dumb decision after dumb decision.

Hearns welfare checks have pretty much dried up. I don't know who Regis could even work with to get himself back into contention.
You were right here, until you mentioned Hearn. Regis hasn't worked or been promoted by Hearn. Not sure why you brought him into this. You rightly pointed out he was with DiBella. You rightly pointed out his brief alignment with Haymon. Then you went off course. He's now with Probellum. He isn't and hasn't been with Hearn. Don't let Hearn consume your thoughts. It's a bad look.

But it is if you're not a big name. If Reigis was with Top Rank, I guarantee you that he would be fighting Teofimo, Taylor, Ramirez, or Zepeda this year. Even if was with the PBC, they'd be lining him up with a name. Especially if he decided to move to 147.

Progrias was going to be fighting Mikey Garcia on DAZN, then Mikey lost to the unknown Spaniard.
