Vergil Ortiz vs Jaron Ennis -- who exactly is ducking this fight?

    What's the story?
Why is there no media attention to this fight?
When is this fight expected to happen?
What exactly are they waiting for?

Who is to blame in all this nonsense?

2 young guys making their way, fight would be bigger when they both hold belts i think & their profiles are bigger

They're waiting for a crack at Spence or Crawford.

I don't think either of them is ducking a fight. Have there even been any offers or negotiations? Like the great Zelenoff above said, they have bigger plans right now. I'm sure that one is being saved by their promotion teams for later.

They won't get a chance at Crawford or Spence. Crawford will move for Charlo and Spence won't fight them at all. That being said, their teams won't risk defeat. This is another fight that won't happen for 5-7 years.

Ortiz is more textbook fighter, Ennis is a bit more athletic. They'll fight eventually.

That pretty much sums it up with this post.

That's assuming everything will go well along the way.

Where each fighter won't have any physical, legal, family, health, etc. issues
throughout and within that span of time. Not to mention upsets, loses, you name it.

Eh, two different promoters. Their respective promotional banners will keep the matchups in-house or against fighters unaffiliated with the major rivals before they consider a cross promotion fight. We may not like it but that's the way things happen these days.

That's true. Fans seem to have acclimated well into such culture, albeit passively.
They're okay with it. Well, they can scream bloody hell till they're blue in the face
and nothing will change, anyways. Since when did promoters listen to fans?
                    I can't remember any instance.

It's business. Losing the zero ruins the business. Two top players ignoring each other
making their own individual paths to wherever they are headed.
