The four people in the room all had Canelo losing the first fight by a round or two.
After the bell I predicted the judges would have it one close, one even, and one wide, hence a draw. That’s not surprising. How it goes often. Canelo had big stroke at that time.
The rematch Canelo stood his ground more. It’s what he needed to do. It anything he improved more than GGG did and using that metric against the first result I see how it gives Canelo the win. Still in my eyes it was the second fight that was closer to a draw. GGG’s KO hype worked against him in my opinion. It’s like how Canelo can diss GGG by saying he doesn’t hit as hard as everyone says. At the same time it’s not like Canelo will say that he hits harder than GGG.

yall are missing the point. Canelo has been claiming for the past 3 years that he "won the fight clearly" and "has nothing left to prove".

With these comments, at least we knows that was just promoter talk BS and he knew the fight was close. He'd be an idiot not to. Winning by 1 round, a hotly disputed one, is as far from convincing as you can get.
