I swear I feel like the memory of what happened for most people has changed from the first time they watched the fight, assuming they watched it all the way through without being distracted. There's no way they can come to the conclusions they do without some form of recency bias, based off watching nothing but highlight videos, for fear that if watched in totality, what actually happened and what they think happened will be in conflict. For a fighter to "change" his style or fight tactically different from what we normally see, shouldn't automatically count against him. A fight is scored round by round; what is said before a fight and any preconceived notions of how a fight should play out, have no bearing of what happens inside the ring, and too many guys here don't understand that.

I respect that he finally admits that the 2nd fight was controversial. He definitely lost the first one! He had the audacity to say he didn't lose to Bivol. He got shut out and outclassed against Bivol!! He might just get stopped if he doesn't leave Bivol alone. Mexican greats do not respect Canelo because he fights great fighters past their prime. With the first fight, the Mexican people had to put a gun to his head before he would fight GGG! Now he's waited for GGG to be way past his prime. 40!! People are celebrating that he won the undisputed championship at 168. Rocky Fielding? Caleb Plant? Callum Smith? Avni Yildirim? Those wins are impressive??? His hardest fights were against GGG and he didn't want that again until he was way past his prime!Comment

I think the best version of canelo we’ve seen was against GGG in the rematch and he still fell short in the eyes of most spectators. He’s sort of regressed into a plodding pressure fighter at 168, I think if he thinks he’s going to walk GGG down (even a 40 year old version) and steamroll him, he’s going to be disheartened when it isn’t as easy as he thinks it will be.Comment

Oh but for 4 yrs canelo and his fans tried to pretend that he won in convincing and dominant fashion. That was a main reason why they said there was no need for a 3rd fight. They ignored that it was a split decision and had the judges correctly scored the 12th for ggg, it’d have been a draw. They ignored that of 50 press row scores, only 2 had canelo winning while the rest had ggg winning or a draw. But now we’ll get rhe 3rd fight when ggg is 40. Great.Comment

Lmao u all sound insane. Abel Sanchez golovkins own trainer didn’t think he won’t that fight golovkin was in the ring eating the the leather he knows he didn’t win only his delusional fan base who think he’s a pound for pound great with a whole 0 great wins in his career and 3 fights against the only 2 elite fighters he ever fought he’s gone 1-1-1. Thats vs Brook and canelo. Btw canelo started his career at 140 and Brook is a career WW. Take that all into consideration when u try to hype golovkin as a great fighter.

Canelo won the 2nd fight fair and square but we must keep in mind canelo has haters who will always see him lose no matter what.
They say Floyd "shut" canelo out 12-0 when that wasn't the case canelo won runs but whatever.
Bivol "shut" canelo out 12-0 too lol when that was also clearly not the case. 116-112 to 115-113 is fine. But canelo haters have no shame they make up what they want to believe its the only way they can get through the day.
Gggs own trainer had him losing the rematch that's all you have to know. Period.
but Canelo vs Bivol ws 115-113 ???Comment

The result of the first fight was controversial.
I was OK with the second fight. Canelo fought cleaner and landed more.
Canelo probably gets a clear UD this time unless he gasses out or GGG is loaded on PEDs and goes beserk going for the killComment
