Lou Dibella represented George. He laid out the terms and conditions required to get the fight against Kambosos. So dibella acted* in his fighters best interest. Bob arum signed haney and helped make the fight. He is thinking about the best interests of both guys. He isn’t whining. He is simply speaking sensibly.

Had Eddie and DAZN backed the fight the same terms would of been agreed. Grow up. There is no wonder people ridicule you on here. I’ve watched from afar and now I get it.

Because Haney wasn't worth anything. He priced himself out with Loma and brings nothing in the way of revenue or fan base. Now that he is undisputed, there is incentive from other fighters to fight him. Simple.

I don't worry about other people's opinions! The deal was horrible for Haney! One thing to have a rematch clause, another thing to force the winner, and now "Undisputed" LW Champion, to have to travel to Australia, to fight in the Challenger's backyard! Bob has a history of NOT always working in the best interest of his fighters! Don't believe me, see De La Hoya, see Mayweather, see Cotto, see Mikey Garcia, see Manny Pacquiao, see Terence Crawford!

They know this fight wont sell lol. If it does happen look for kambosos to get an "injury" in training camp and the whole thing gets scrapped.

Why would Kambosos listen to Arum's nonsensical ideas? It's not in George's interest to take a tuneup, then stall the rematch and leave the date hanging into the unknown future. Lou Dibella needs to set a date on the rematch ASAP. He doesn't need Arum, who has zero to do with the rematch because none of the fighters are signed with him.

Real question is what if Kambosos wins in the rematch? Is Arum guaranteed a fight for his fighter Lomachenko? (Haney becomes irrelevant at this point. He can go anywhere he wants to.)

Loma went franchise because he wanted to unify with the IBF and achieve full undisputed. He's been very clear for years that that was his goal. He didn't want to waste time with a mandatory, and the WBC offered him franchise so he could pursue full unification. The franchise belt is a joke, since the WBC doesn't follow its own rules, but if he'd won, nobody would have been able to make a credible claim that he wasn't undisputed.

The WBC, unlike the IBF, doesn't grant precedence to unification fights (see sections 3.5-6 of the WBC rules). They prefer to keep things at "full discretion of the WBC". And it would be delusional to suppose that the alphabet organizations care about unification. They much prefer to have as many "champions" paying them sanctioning fees as possible. That's the whole point of the franchise designation in the first place, and the WBA regular and world designations.

It's backwards ******ity to talk about a champion "ducking" their mandatory to pursue unification and undisputed. We should WANT them to do that, and if they alphabet organization forces them to do that so they can have more "champions" paying them fees, that's the fault of the organization, not the fighter. Haney did what he was supposed to do, and he's now got the leverage to control the division. Good for him. But anyone talking about Loma ducking him is only doing so in the benefit of hindsight. You don't complain about any other champion "ducking" a mandatory to fight another champion, only in this circumstance, and it's still a ****** suggestion.

Lomachenko was free to fight for the IBF belt since the WBC mandatory had not been called yet.

But by accepting Franchise Champion status his team made sure that they wouldn't be forced to face Haney AFTER the Teofimo fight.
