Of course it is because he doesn't have a history of it. I'm like repeating myself here, come on guy!

He didn't drop belts when a real challenge came up. He didn't shoot clenbuterol into his veins when he got painted into a corner. He didn't pick a string of cherries and win a bunch of fights he should have lost because he's got the officials fixed. He's not set for life with a few hundred million dollars. Yea it's fucking different!

i miss that about Southwest Airlines
It seems like Southwest would have been the kind to let Jhonny fly in his own seat.

Only the nicest for him, SW is all first class seating.

Maybe he should have cherry picked Joe Smith instead of challenging himself against the guy that beat Joe Smith.
Nah, he should've just challenged the concensus elite fighters at his best weight of 168 - Charlo, Andrade or Benavidez. What sense does it make to intentionally disadvantage yourself at a higher weight for a less meaningful and less interesting fight against a less proven opponent when you can have more meaningful more interesting fights for more money with more proven opponents with no disadvantages. It's absurd and was obviously was only done because he thought Bivol was limited enough to beat. In his mind, he wasn't challenging himself, he was cherrypicking. Just because he lost badly doesn't mean it wasn't a cherry pick, it was just a miscalculation.

Canelo is to small for the light heavyweight division. That’s been proven already. Can you girls move on??
Bumch if drama queens on here.

I been saying this forever but most people on here DKSAB, they just exist to hype up canelo.
100 percent. Bivol is a glorified version of gvozdyk. They fight in n out and like distance and space. Beterbiev is a superior boxer who adjusts to his opponent. Canelo backed bivol plenty against the ropes and landed body shots and uppercuts. If that was beterbiev it has a different effect. Bivol gets stopped

That's true. lol There's so much that goes into a fight and who wins. You never know who's going in with an injury, what was going on in or during camp, who the referee is, what judges are judging, who's the A side and who's the B side, etc. This fight was fairly easy to call, but fighting is chaotic, and a lot of fights are setup to give one fighter an advantage. Even now it makes me laugh to think that Bivol almost didn't win against Canelo. You know? Even when you know who'll win, you just don't know. I lost money on Rolly vs Marinez. I was certain Marinez would be Romero but the judges saw it another way.

Canelo would not see the final bell in Beterbiev fight, no judges would be needed.

He's proven that he has a lot of heart, can fight through a lot of tough situations, which is really what you need to beat a great fighter like canelo. To be clear I think Canelo beats him but Joe would put up a good fight and wouldn't be afraid to take one to give one. Kind of like Kirkland just with a much better chin and power due to his size, lots of heavy leather landed on both sides those 3 rounds.

But I'm just calling it like I see it, to me Smith was always a step up from everyone he fought since GGG. Just not as big a step up as Bivol or Betebiev.
Smith would stomp the little ginger into retirement. Canelo got badly outclassed at 175. Size and strength due to weightcuts is Canelo's game, but Smith is much bigger.
