Smith was a 9-1, even 11-1 dog in some circles. I bet 50$ full well knowing that Beterbiev was the more skilled guy. You win some, you lose some. I did well with Bivol over Canelo, De Carolis over Scardina, and Lucas Browne over Fa. I also lost on Bryan against Dubois. I try to find "live" dogs and Smith was one of them. The outcomes are irelevant. You go with the information that you have going in and then make a decision. Beterbiev has been rocked by guys with far less power than Smith. A small bet on Joe with long odds was worth it!

Yes! that does make sense, because this is boxing and you never know for sure what the outcome will be. SO if you lose 50$ to try and make 500, it's not a bad call. But there was a reason why the odds where so wide and didn't change getting closer to bell, and why most boxing aficionados picked Beterbiev by KO.

Joe Smith has to be one of the luckiest fighters in years who has beat a past great in Bernard Hopkins and some decent fighters, however he lacks good or even basic fundamentals in fact he so ordinary I can get a 5 year old work with him a week and he would be better!
