That's a depressing mindset. Racism shouldn't be promoted or encouraged imo. It doesn't do any good.Comment

Why lie about it when the article plainly says NO such thing. It is Jones who suggested, only half seriously I'm sure that they duke it out. It may not be your fault, you just may not beb able to read.Comment

Wlad’s open rebuke of Roy Jones, Jr at the HOF ceremony was very personal and calculating. That was neither the time or place to take a shot at a legend such as Roy Jones, Jr.
He’s obviously holding a hate grudge against Jones for some odd reason. I don’t care what he says about Roy; Wladimir would never be remembered or as popular as Roy Jones, Jr.
One hundred years from now they will still be talking about Jones talent. Whereas, Wlad’s career was just mere fart in the windComment

I’m so surprised that this thread turned racial towards Foundational Black Americans. I’m just so ultra surprised. Had that been Joe Calzaghe, Darrin Van Horn, or Greg Haugen you’d not hear race mentioned at all. I swear boxing has a segment of its fandom that is just extremely low rent, poorly educated, bitter, and extremely toxic and given to scapegoatingLast edited by Oldskoolg; 06-15-2022, 02:50 PM.Comment

Klistchko asks whether Jones is on the side of the aggressor or the nation subject to aggression.
Well one could ask the same of both Klitschko brothers with their historical support for Israel, and perhaps they’ll start decrying the trend for big fights taking place in Saudi Arabia while it’s a human rights death zone and aggressor of Yemen.

In America, there is no seeing reason from the opposing side. Every idea or pov is a bad idea as long as it is coming from the other side.
In a nutshell, this scenario shows just how bad it is in the US in terms of picking sides:
********s/left wingers/******** slammed Donald Trump for his announced troop withdrawal from Afghanistan. Right wingers were in agreement with Trump and cheering him on for “bringing the troops home.” This was negotiated by the Trump admin.
Fast forward: **********s/************* were mad at ***** for withdrawing the troops, even in a delayed timeline that surpassed Trump’s deadline. With Trump out of office, and now an “enemy” in office (a ********), the right wingers called it a terrible idea and said the troops should stay. ********s now called it a great idea, of course, because it was being enacted by a ********ic president.
That’s US politics in a nutshell. Basically: As long as my side is the one going through with an idea, it’s all good. They don’t know what they are arguing for and have no actual point of view of their own. A bunch of sheep.Comment
