[MASTER THREAD] Hearn Admits They Cherry-Picked Bivol
Collapse

Believing Canelo can win based off their most recent performances doesn’t necessarily mean it was a cherry pick. Just confidence that Canelo can pull it off?
It really doesn’t matter but ultimately he moved up to 175 and challenged one of the top fighters at the weight. It didn’t work out. You can call it a cherry pick if you prefer but it makes no difference.
Canelo knows he has no chance against bivol hence why he hasn't opted for the rematch,he shot too high ..he's been humbled and will unlikely fight the best at lhw again
No shame in trying I guess but now people will expect more from him but he's limited to super middle at mostComment

Of course they did, if Bivol was looking like a killer at 175, Canelo wouldn’t have stepped foot back in the division.
Just like he dropped a 160 belt and ran out of the division to avoid GGG for two years and waited for him to look older before entering 160 again and still couldn’t beat him without crooked judges.
Still, Canelo is a very good fighter, but as with most top money makers, they are very calculated in their timing of choosing opponents. They can doors that luxury. This isn’t exclusive to Canelo. He isn’t the first and won’t be the last.
Eric Gómez from Golden Boy is on record saying they didn’t want Canelo fighting an active Saunders between 2015 and 2017, they felt that version of Saunders was way too risky and tricky. Canelo obviously fought him 4 years later when he probably wasn’t at his best anymore after years of poor dedication to the sport and inactivity. Not to say Canelo wouldn’t beat him back then but it just shows you that fighters or their teams are always calculated, taking fights at the right time.
They thought Bivol was the right opponent because of his previous form, but obviously it was bad judgement.Last edited by deathofaclown; 06-12-2022, 06:04 AM.Comment

The crazy thing is, he doesn't even seem to realise he did that!Comment

But if Hearn came out and told the truth, which is that Canelo isn't quite as good as he thinks he is, that would be the end of their relationship.
The Bivol fight was a reality check for Canelo. He and his fans seriously thought he could beat Usyk at HW!Last edited by kafkod; 06-12-2022, 06:09 AM.Comment

I keep having to search this content out is dozens of posts so I'm making this master thread so that I can have everything in one post instead of posting the same thing over and over.
Here are 2 videos of Hearn saying they cherry-picked Bivol and Bivol himself saying the same thing. I also and linking other sources of former ATG's, retired pro's, and other pundits claiming this was a cherry-pick.
0:52 of video here --->
Another video of Hearn saying the SAME EXACT THING to Bivol!!!
0:26 video here --->
Here is Bivol saying the same thing --->
SOURCE: BOXINGSCENE
RJJ, Malignaggi, and Tarver saying Bivol was a cherry-pick gone wrong.
Please make sure to show your appreciation and smash that like button, because I am the only one here going the extra mile to deliver the truth and always keeping it real without bias.

You know you look off the back of there’s a lot of fighters Chris that have come off performances you know in the pandemic, through the pandemic, they looked a little bit flat. You look at Dmitry Bivol you know against Craig Richards and before that against Castillo, those performances didn’t tell you that, that form would beat Canelo Alvarez
As far as this video --->
Originally posted by Eddie HearnBut there was nothing in your last 2 fights, in his last 2 fights, there's nothing that shows he could do that.
Originally posted by Dmitry BivolIf not my last 2 fights, I didn't get this fight?Originally posted by Eddie HearnTrue, true.

Source me please, no way I believe he went 2 fights flat to get a fight he wasn't even being considered for all those fights back.
But they did and Hearn said it. RJJ, the man you dream about at night with your pants around your cankles said it too. Did you have a bad car accident because you sound like your running on 40% capacity. They're literally saying it and you're like nope, not true.
