You know you look off the back of there’s a lot of fighters Chris that have come off performances you know in the pandemic, through the pandemic, they looked a little bit flat. You look at Dmitry Bivol you know against Craig Richards and before that against Castillo, those performances didn’t tell you that, that form would beat Canelo Alvarez

Believing Canelo can win based off their most recent performances doesn’t necessarily mean it was a cherry pick. Just confidence that Canelo can pull it off?

It really doesn’t matter but ultimately he moved up to 175 and challenged one of the top fighters at the weight. It didn’t work out. You can call it a cherry pick if you prefer but it makes no difference.

Bivol himself said the plan was to get the fight by having a flat performance once or twice and just doing the minimum t get the Clenelo fight.
