    Yeah there was.

    Another one was Lewis-Rahman.

Like I say, they aren't new. But no where near as prominent as they are now.

I think it's weird that Kambosos, who won all his belts as a mandatory challenger, can turn around and then force Haney (a voluntary defense?) into a rematch clause where both fights are in Australia. If that's the case, then Teofimo should've been given a rematch (yes, I know he's moved up to 140). Or, maybe Teofimo should've given Loma a rematch (yes, I know he was injured and needed surgery). Who the hell knows?

AJ wanting a rematch for late replacement Ruiz? I'm ok with it. Having a rematch clause for mandatory Usyk? not ok with it. Wilder vs. Fury 1 ended in a draw, rematch? Fine. Wilder receiving an immediate rematch after getting obliterated? Unnecessary.

Essentially, it depends on the situation. In theory, I'm ok with a unified titlist (who won each belt individually) getting a rematch. I also think immediate rematches should happen within a reasonable amount of time.

Oh and when I found out there was a rematch clasue in the Riakpore v Jumah fight I was fuming, as I know Jumah personally, and felt like it trapped in. Basically I like them when they suit me

Don't get ahead of yourself. Haney by his own words begged for the fight.

I don't doubt that Haney wanted the match-up, and he was gonna have to agree to Team Kambosos' terms to get it. Haney had no leverage and no better option.

Hard to say. It's tough enough these days to get the "prima donna" fighters to face any REAL challenges. Take away rematch clauses and they will probably just fight Rod Salka type guys 10 times in a row.

Risk a loss with no rematch clause, or fight a dummy. Which one do you think they would choose?

Good point tbf man. It would probably result is less competitive matchmaking.

People were willingly signing deals with Don King when he was robbing them blind prior to the Ali act in the late 90’s.
You're absolutely right, considering I just landed on Earth ---> I should probably have a look at how the business works. Where should I go for that?

Idk maybe. Boxing is so messed up I can think at least 2 more urgent reforms needing made first.

scoring reform, title reform, and there probably are others too.
