So, was Haney also holding when he was punching you in the face and gut? You could almost see that jab coming, with the way Devin stepped forward rapidly with his left foot.

Now watch how Haney does it:
He ducks down below his legs or below the belt line, then shoulder charges against Kambosos while in a position that Kambosos can't throw any punches without risk of being docked for rabbit or kidney punches. He has no legal area to punch. Then Haney shoulders up, clinches, but without trying to fight in the clinch. He's just hugging. Referee breaks them up, and the process repeats itself. This is completely different to Bernard Hopkins. Hopkins is fighting dirty while Haney is blatantly cheating.
You make a compelling argument and both video clips are pretty good in how they analyze both fights.
That said, I find it very hard to separate the word dirty and cheating. If it was any other sport, I would have agreed with you.
I’ve seen Hopkins use all the dirty tricks imaginable, including cheating his way to a NC fight when he fell out of the ring and “broke” his arm.
Hopkins is a straight up lying, dirty and cheating bastard, however, he fought into his fifties and beat guys that were literally 20 years younger than him. Guys that knew of his style and should have borrowed that style to beat him in his own game, but they didn’t. It’s their loss.
Haney’s style while questionable, neutralized Kamboso. And this is the part I make a huge distinction, European (including Aussies) and African fighters just cannot adjust to African-American style of boxing, that’s why a vast majority of them get beat.
Haney is 23 so I think the next few fights will define him. I’m not going to shït on him for traveling to Australia where I thought he was going to get robbed and accept all of Kamboso’s terms including two more fights. That’s called cheating on Kamboso’s part. Using the belts to leverage what’s best for him. This loss is comeuppance.

You land more Punches on the Ropes than you did on Haney
STFU and go away George, you had your moment and now it is OVER! All the attention was on Haney Lack of Power when George has even LESS so George statistically didn't even have a "PUNCHER'S CHANCE"! What he needed and expected was a Hometown Decision Robbery but he couldn't even make the fight look close for them to do that for him LMFAOLast edited by sicko; 06-07-2022, 05:53 PM.

Out here making excuses for being an j deride boxer. His 15 min of fame are over and he likely won’t win another significant fight again in his career.

Tieing up is a big part of boxing, if that's all it took everyone could win big fights, Kambosis didn't know what to do at any time, when it is like that you have to be extra aggressive and manhandle him off, George just followed him around like a puppy.
George go and look at Fenech Nelson 1, although Fenech was robbed that's what you needed to do.

Kambosos Junior needs to get stronger in the clinch. I don't think Haney is super strong on the inside, but he was still able to tie up Kambosos Junior.
I don't think Haney would be able to do that with Lopez.

Just a really bad style matchup for Kambosos. He has good footwork and is sharp from mid range. He's not an inside fighter and his length and style don't translate to success on the outside against Haney.
Unless he reinvents himself, I don't think a rematch will go much better. I think a heavy handed counter puncher or a pressure fighting volume puncher would have better success against Haney. George is neither of those.
