If he wins, obviously the next move is to pick up the WBO strap and be undisputed.
If he loses, he should drop down to 115 and try to win one of the belts there. He has won full world titles at 112, 118, 122, and 126 but only an interim strap at 115. With a full title at 115, he'd become a 5 division world titlist. Only Tommy Hearns, Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather Jr, and Manny Pacquiao are on that list right now.
strange that canelo is criticised (rightly so) for rematching a 40 year old in golovkin but everyones favourite fighter inoue gets a pat on the back for rematching a 40 year old whos been beaten more times than golovkin has

Donaire isn't getting wins he shouldn't be getting.
Donaire isn't shooting Clenbuterol in his veins.
Donaire's team isn't fixing his fights.
Donaire isn't dodging real challenges.
Golovkin hasn't taken as many challenges as Donaire has. His fault or not, the record speaks for itself.

Inoue vs Donaire is a lineal title fight and a three+Ring belt unification you clown. They are ranked in the top two by the TBRB, Ring Magazine, ESPN, BoxRec, and BadLeftHook.
It will crown the first lineal bantamweight world champion since Bernardo Pinango vacated in 1987.
There is literally no fight you could make at 118 that would be bigger or better.
